Location is excellent and the staff was very helpful

The room was really very small, great view over the sea but just below our room we had a big tv screen on till 1 am and a lot of noise. No airco

This hotel is a little gem! Parking for our motorcycle, an extremely comfortable room with coffee machine, delicious evening meal and plenty of choice for breakfast. The staff were friendly, we we made to feel very welcome.

The breakfasts every morning were great, the lady who provided the drinks was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was continental and a good choice. We liked tea and asked the bar staff for water and milk for a brew a couple of times as the coffee machine and coffee milk wasn't suitable for us, we don't drink coffee. Loved the Madeleine's each day, nice touch.

The room (4) was too small for two people for 5 nights. The room was also dusty and did need a full deep clean. Skirtings were dusty. There was no fan, it was stuffy with the outside blind shut, we had to leave it open for air and windows but then we got the light at 5am as there were no curtains. The pillows were uncomfortable and lumpy. They need replacing. The areas for tea/coffee and small table is not enough space for two peoples stuff, we had to leave stuff in our cases and under the bed and got things out when needed. Not enough hangers in the small cupboard. Could do with some hooks near the door for coats and handbags rather than leave things on the floor. Only one small bin in the bathroom, not big enough for two women. Missing a mini fridge, to keep water in this would have been a nice to have, understand it's not a normal thing. But for long stays this would have been amazing. The location was quiet, nearest open shop was a spar 30 minute walk too. Nothing hardly open around the hotel and the hotel and restaurant was busy every day. The car parking was a free for all, had to wait a couple times for a space from people going to the restaurant but not residents, and sometimes was hard to get out the car park. Staff really didn't speak much English and didn't understand our needs sometimes, think only one person spoke English. Check in was confusing, you check in at the bar, we didn't know, and we're asking and it felt messy, as the bar person couldn't understand us until a nice manager came along and sorted the room and key for us.
