I stayed here with my teenage sons, the hotel was easy to reach by car and there was parking on site. The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Beds were very comfortable, we had a great walk around the lake that was behind the property. Rooms very clean and welcoming. Was easy to reach the War memorial from the hotel. Would stay here again and would recommend it.

The members of staff were very friendly and equally helpful when we asked for advice. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom not only had a bath, but also a great shower. The breakfast was great. I would definitely return to this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others visiting Dunkirk.

A nice hotel in a quiet location just off the main road, rooms were nice and staff very friendly and spoke good English, however there is no soundproofing from the army accommodation upstairs and we were kept awake till after midnight.

Although the hotel’s exterior looks a little grim, inside is a different story with very friendly staff, pleasant refurbished rooms and excellent food. A patio with a lake view on a warm evening is an added bonus. Easy to find and ideal as a stopover either before or after a ferry it’s excellent value and recommended!

Pleasant hotel with lovely view of the lake. A bit noisy due to near a main road. The restaurant was good served nice food. Staff were helpful and spoke some English. Room was clean, only downside was there were only one pillow and when we asked for more they could only find one extra which was poor.

We had a lovely room with a nice view of the lake out back. Breakfast was good. The service was excellent. The only problem was that our toilet was running. Easy fix and an excellent stay.

Great stay - very welcoming. Beds were narrower than we expected & we were in a disabled bedroom. Bathroom was large, but no shower curtain meant the floor got soaked! However the staff were attentive, welcoming & overall it worked well as a place to stay to launch us on our Belgium adventure:)

The staff and the hotel itself were excellent. Breakfast was amazingly delicious, as was the dinner. Walking outside at the lake was very relaxing. A short drive into anywhere you want to go in Dunkirk was very easy

Hotel was ok. Meal was average but they had a bus load of teenage girls and put us in a room between then all so we were subjected to dozens of screaming girls running up and down the corridor. Additionally when we paid our bill the receptionist said the payment didn’t go through, I showed her the confirmation charge on my phone but she insisted that she couldn’t see it her end - so I repaid using the actual card on the basis that they would refund me if I had paid twice. Watch this space.

We had a good stay, however the pillows were tiny ok for a child. There was only 1 sugar for two people. The tiles in the bathroom under the sink were all smashed dangerous if you had children. The breakfast was very good.

Located by a beautiful lake it's the perfect place to stay especially if you're enroute bact to the UK via Calais. All the staff are warm and friendly, food is exceptional. They have a lovely outside dining area - perfect for alfresco eating !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. It is an amazingly quiet place to stop next to a lake and very convenient to catch the ferry back to the U.K.

Horrible service. Been there several times (because the location is beautiful) but every time the lady at the register is trying to make us pay twice the amount of our stay! We are reserving with hotels.com and, though it is visible to their systems that we have already paid, the employee is asking us to repay the full amount! This time she also asked us to pay the city tax for a child and when we told them that children do not pay city tax she said that she did not know it (lack of professionalism? ill will?). The hotel is very nice but the service at the front desk is very very dishonest. It is a pity really. Also, an employee at breakfast suddenly burst into tears saying: "Why are they accusing me of everything...". I believe her -it must be a nasty working atmosphere. And most of all -the level of dishonesty in trying to extract money! Unbelievable!!

Food - both dinner and breakfast - very good indeed for a relatively cheap hotel. Waiting staff fairly useless, partly because of poor English. My main course at dinner was not what I ordered (however, it was very good) and my second glass of wine was not the same as my first (and it was terrible). Room comfortable and fine for a one-night stay, but it was very small.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for evening meal was lovely. Our only minor gripe was that the room didn’t have air conditioning and due to its view over the lake it was in direct sunshine so was very warm.

The hotel is very nice, overlooking a beautiful lake. We are going there regularly. But honestly, the customer service is extremely bad: they keep on asking us to pay extra the breakfast even though we have paid it already in the site!! Yesterday I told them clearly: "If I can see that I have paid for it why are you not seeing it?". They have done this 3 or 4 times, on one occasion we double-paid it (and had to go through a long procedure to get the 2nd payment back). They are also not keen to print out a couple of pages (told me that they were out of ink...). In general, good stay but the hotel managers should really look into the payment issues -it is not normal that EVERY TIME there is a misunderstanding!!

The hotel was well placed near major road but not too close to hear the noise. the staff were very helpful and check in / check out was fast. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very nice and not too expensive. The Hotel worked great for my work trip everything was hassle free and straight forward rooms and hotel were very clean. Also a bonus for my work colleague was that he could charge his electric car up free of charge over night.
