Lovely stay with minor annoyances

It was a nice stay, the room was clean, had all that you might expect, we even watched some teley. The breakfast was good but nothing over the top. The room was definitely spacious enough, and we ended up receiving a room with an extra bed for whatever reason on the 1st floor. The view wasn't great because we were too close to street level, so we ended up drawing the curtains permanently.

There was a noisy fan for the air-ducts right outside our door and we could hear it at night buzzing which wasn't that great, there was also very little air being pushed into our bathroom.

Comfortably, relaxing & clean!

Good location, away from all the Buzz but not too far a walk to all the good spots! Lovely, clean room & even tidied our room on the second day! Our own ironing board & hairdryer were brilliant.

Our only slight dislike were the pillows, we’d have preferred two pillows each and maybe a little less hard - but again, this was only a tiny dislike

The room was a little tight- the twin beds were smaller than average and right on top of eachother. The room and bathroom were clean. The location was about 20 minute walk to city center Dublin. They had onsite parking for 25 euro a night.

The check-in went smoothly, even almost half an hour earlier than stated. Breakfast was better than expected, and the staff working during breakfast were very friendly and helpful. The location is a bit farther from the very center, but overall a 10–15 minute walk in good weather is not bad at all.

The first thing I really didn’t like was that the girl at the reception desk was a bit condescending and not very friendly… And one more downside — the bed was very uncomfortable. I couldn’t fall asleep: the mattress was hard and the pillows were very firm. But that’s just my personal opinion; others might find it comfortable.

We appreciated the good energy brought by the staff, especially in the very early morning ( Luigi’s very positive and helpful attitude brightened our morning, at 4 AM nonetheless).

Beds were small and bent, walls were thin and we heard a lot of violent activity accross other rooms.

I thought I'd booked breakfast as well but apparently not. When I asked at reception if we could add breakfast to our experience we were told no breakfast facilities were available due to work being carried out in the kitchen. I asked if there were alternative provisions in place and was told it may be breakfast bags or a voucher to dine at another establishment. We declined and sorted it ourselves.

Maldron Hotel is a great place to stay, home from home and you are right next to St Stephens Green

Room was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was very good, food quality was excellent and I really liked situation of breakfast room. I also liked fact you could make a pot of tea. Most other places have machine made beverages and nearly all of them taste very poorly. Staff also went out of their way to be helpful and make one feel welcome.

The bathroom was not very clean, it should be refurbished a little (i.e. space between tiles, shower floor). In addition the bathroom kind of floods a bit during a shower, the glass stopping the water from dropping on the floor is too short. Dropping ater on the floor can be minimised but just by showering in an uncomfortable position

Breakfast was very misleading, a lot of options that were on the list were not presented. For example, vegetarian sausages were shown on the list but weren’t available for any of the days that I was staying.

Reasonably priced modern and clean facility in the heart of downtown Dublin and close to everything.

The location was central to everywhere we wanted to go. All the sites, and even the hop-on hop-off bus are nearby. There were markets and small shops to get what we needed.

I wish there was a refrigerator in the room, as well as an ice machine. Each time I needed ice, I had to request it from the bar. I feel that is an inconvenience.

The staff is fabulous, like to serve everyone very helpful, the breakfast area is huge, staff in breakfast area very adorable. Well trained to serve the guest. and very tenantive to the guest.

The room was clean & comfortable

The breakfast staff were quiet rude. We had mistaken the breakfast finish time to be 10.30. We arrived down at 10.02 to be told breakfast was over and staff were clearing it away. Very poor customer service and very unhelpful.

Nice hotel if guests dont mind walking 20-25 minutes getting to the center where the actions are.

I like the size of the rooms and that all rooms have walk in showers not bathtub. Filipinos dont like bathtubs because its accident waiting to happen.

Excellent

I looked at so many hotels and compared which one suited us best. Although it was a little far from the centre, the airport bus stopped right in front of the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel met our expectation and everything was perfect. A great starting point for our one week trip around Ireland. Breakfast was superb and the room had everything you'd expect such as tea/coffee, biscuits and bottles of water. Brilliant!!

There was nothing I didn't like.
