Lovely home away from home. Definitely stay here!

This was our second stay at Castle View and it was just as amazing as we remembered from a couple of years ago. The location is five star and having a parking space included is a bonus. We loved having our breakfast in the morning looking out of the window at the castle. It feels like having your own little home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this cottage in the grounds of Lancaster castle, perfect for a relaxing weekend

The location by the castle, free parking and the architect award winning interior All the fittings and furnishings were super luxurious Was a very cosy haven Best bath ever!

My only gripe was not providing wood and fire lighters to be able to use the log burner I asked and was told I could buy my own from a local garage or the following day pay £10 to have some delivered In other places I’ve stayed, there is always a fire ready laid for use

Almost everything. Great location for visiting Lancaster. Beautifully renovated cottage. Stylish and thoughtfully equipped. Very comfortable in every respect. Highly recommended.

My only reservation was the slight difficulty for an older person of getting in and out of the otherwise very comfortable bed in its cosy cupboard. Otherwise faultless.

Lovely accommodation in an excellent location.

Location was perfect for walking to the things we wanted to visit. Castle etc. Well placed for a short walk also to places to eat. Accommodation done to a high standard and a well equipped kitchen area. Shaded garden area to use with table and chairs provided.

Everything was as descripted in the accommodation information before booking, however I did find it more difficult then I thought to access the raised bed due to a hip problem I have at present.

Absolutely fab.

Faby, liked all aspects. Small property but contained everything you need. Very central for Lancaster but out of the way at the same time. Train station 2/3 mins walk, really handy if you are going on an excursion or traveling by train, although you can here trains passing through the station at night if you have the windows open, (very hot when we stayed). Hosting was excellent. Recommended.

Was not a 'didn't like' but for me the bed was a bit challenging if your not that agile, has to be accessed from the foot and its raised off the ground, you can not get in from the sides. A stool is provided by the hosts whicb is great help. Otherwise faby. Comfortable & cosy.

A wonderful staycation in Lancaster

This property was perfect for our long weekend get away. This is a self contained property (perfect for current covid restrictions) with everything available that you might need. The host Jenny was very friendly and greeted us on our arrival to check everything was ok. The property is in a perfect location right next the the castle and only a short walk away from the town centre but still very quiet and peaceful at night. The gardens at Castle View are so lovely and there is even a private seated area to enjoy the outside space. There is also the additional bonus of having a parking space on site. Parking can be a bit tricky in Lancaster generally. We brought our bikes along so that we could take advantage of the lovely weather and cycle routes around the area. Such a lovely place to stay and will definitely be recommending to friends and returning ourselves in the future.

Nothing. Very well thought out use of space and loved the quirkiness of the bed and the bath. If you struggle with mobility you might struggle getting out of the bed but for anyone else it’s absolutely fine and a very big comfy bed.
