St George’s Quay is stylishly decorated, comfortable, clean and warm. The location is lovely on the edge of town with footpaths into the Castle Precinct, and an outlook over the Lune at the front and Quay Meadow at the back. There’s a great restaurant, Quite Simply French (QSF), 80m away.
Paid parking is available immediately behind the property, limited (3h) free parking directly outside but unlimited free parking 10mins walk away. All doable but not quite as we thought.
Not all windows open and that’s understandable in such an old house but more ventilation is needed in the bathroom and kitchen (though VELUX does open in the kitchen).
Additional keys would be helpful, particularly if one person is remote working so it’s hard to leave a call to answer the door for another in the group.

Great location, excellent facilities, comfortable furnishings and good ambience. Host left a bottle of wine, some coffee, tea and snacks.
Unable to leave baggage in advance of stay. TV programmes a bit limited. Front bedroom radiator did not working.

location
there was a strong stale, musty smell in the property. it has an obvious issue with damp or the drains. the smell was overwhelming which spoilt the trip.
