the place was ideal for a girly night away

location able to have a room each with it not being expensive TVs warm & plenty places to hang jackets etc

the bedding was on the flimsy side some rooms PIR and some not, got muddled up which ones to switch off sitting room light very bright, could have done with a lamp or dimmer switch

A very good place to stay for a self catered city break.

Location right next to the station, a few doors down from a little corner convenience store and a short walk to the city centre, with a quiet way to the bus station along a cycle way. You could hear the few trains at night but they were surprisingly quiet - a low comforting rumble. A circular walk right round the city along the canal and an old railway line goes past the house (through the car park in front).

The huge lampshade in the bedroom LOL. The technology took a bit of working out - how to adjust the thermostat (which reset itself each morning), how to adjust the toaster, and getting used to room lights turning on automatically. No side plates.

Few more soft furnishings ie extra comfy chair or beanbags in living room and rug would make it 10/10

Very helpful communication from host throughout. The location of the house was excellent. Ideal for train station, and just a short walk into the town centre. So very useful to have 2 parking permits. The house was spacious and accurately described. It proved to be a great base for a family gathering.

Like so many properties, the house has a few signs of wear and tear, but nothing that impacted our stay, and overall represents great value.

Simple and Peaceful

Absolutely no hassle. It was as simple as simple could be. As the name suggests, it was indeed peaceful. We just walked in as if it was our own home, everything was in place, instructions was very clear. It was an amazing experience.

1. The living room could have had better lighting and there is some plaster and paint work on the wall which needs to be done. 2. A Microwave would have been handy. 3. Living room and the room downstairs could have been carpeted.

Peaceful ? It absolutely is...

It is very peaceful, very close to the railway station and a short walk to the town. The kitchen is small but well enough equipped to cook for two or three... It didn't have a wine glass but I managed 😜. Would I stay again ? Yes, but I wouldn't pay the summer prices.

The house was clean, all mod cons, a wonderful host, felt very much like a home away from home! The kitchen had been upgraded since the photos online which was a really pleasant surprise.

Great location- very close to the castle and shopping centre. Could walk to the Storey and castle. Wifi was really fast. Each room was equipped with a TV and Netflix.

The kitchen worktop is a bit small and the cooking pot could be replaced.

Close to town centre and the train station. Very clean and had the resources we needed. Parking permit provided and corner shop close by. Washing and drying facilities meant we could travel lighter.

Waterproof mattress covers made sleeping trickier during the hot weather. No pillow protectors supplied.

Overall, a great stay for a short vacation.

The location is excellent. Very close to the center of town, making visiting the main attractions easy to get to by walking. Our host was responsive to queries and polite. The facilities was as advertise, plenty of space for a large family. The bathroom was nice and clean.

The kitchen was a bit on the small size, however, this is not necessarily a problem if one is planning to dine out regularly. It will do in a pinch for an evening meal. There are light sensors in the property to save electricity, which is understandable, but when it came to dimming and lighting up, it could be frustrating, for example, sitting on the couch, with the light dimming when you are reading.

The location is excellent and parking a huge bonus

Cleaning stuff on display everywhere. It needs to be stored at least in a cupboard and certainly not have hoover parts all over the mantle piece! In the back bedroom thermistor some sort of sensor over the bad that kept flashing pretty much all night so I didn’t exactly sleep well Also needs a better list of where things are kept (took ages to find the cutlery) and a better explanation of what the tvs can and can’t do

Location and private car park .

The owner used radicalise amount of room freshener spray to hide the real small of the house. First 30minutes it was nice and pleasant but during the night the artificial smell was giving us a headache.

The house was very spacious, modern decor, very clean, beds were very comfy, it had everything we needed including permits to park for free

absolutely the ONLY thing was the kitchen wall needed a coat of paint as the rest of the house was done to a superb standard
