Breakfast was okay but would have been nice to see eggs & ham added, rather than just cereals fruit pastries and bread for toast. Toilet was small.

We stayed as we were attending an event at the hotel so it was very convenient

The only problem we had was we couldn’t switch the tv on which was but a small thing.

Continental breakfast had a good selection. Staff were helpful. Hotel bang on King Charles III footpath which we were walking

We were in deluxe double room (room 10) which was right above the bar so very noisy when bar below open. But main issue was the bed which was very uncomfortable and mattress needs to be replaced as springs dig into you

A dehumidifier in the bedroom was plumbed in with ducting going through the wall . Didn"t seem to be a problem in the room. but a bit disconcerting.

Love the location, ambience and food at the Quayside. Lovely as usual.

Only one thing room was too hot

Room could do with upgrading but was clean and presentable. Continental breakfast was excellent and effort had clearly been made.

The room was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was superb with great walk in shower. The guy who showed us to the room was very polite.

We booked dinner on line for 4.00pm. They told us restaurant closes at 4.00 so we booked @ 3.00 Got there at 2.30 only pork left on carvery. Ate dinner by 3.00pm woman collected plates and disappeared. I had to go to reception to get someone to bring a dessert and coffee. After that the place shuts down on a Sunday with no bar or anything open. ( this is a hotel?) Breakfast was a joke. Got to the restaurant no one there. Eventually found a woman sitting looking out of the window. Asked where we sit were told anywhere. No cooked breakfast, no tables laid up and rubbish bags by breakfast buffet. Diabolical! The cold breakfast wasn’t too bad, but the total lack of attention from this staff member was ridiculous.

Lovely welcome. Room was spotless. Bed very comfortable. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

Room was a bit cramped, but I believe there are larger rooms if you wanted to pay more.

The red light was an interesting touch. It had a calming affect after a stressful week.

Hotel staff extremely helpful. Restaurant was great. Very good food at great prices. On site parking. Our room was opposite the keyside. The room and bathroom are large. (It was showing its age a little but it is an old building that has retained some of its original character.) It was clean. It was also just a short walk to the centre of the town.

Not much not to like.

The property was clean, comfortable and nicely presented. Staff were helpful and the continental breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.

We had booked a special room with huge bathroom but located above loudspeakers in bar so very noisy. We were moved to a room at very top where tiniest shower room I’ve ever seen. Sorry this is what I didn’t like. Staff very nice, good location

The hotel was easy to find and clean. The staff were polite and helpful.

I had gotten a little disoriented trying to find the reception desk which was in the back behind the bar.

Bed was comfortable, room well equipped, good to have a fan in and a fridge. Also received free continental breakfast which was an added bonus

Staff were very friendly and helpful from Monday morning onwards. Excellent food. We ate there one evening and the meal was excellent and very good value.

We checked in on a Sunday. We were not told that the hotel does not open Sunday afternoons and that there were no staff available. We were texted a code for a keysafe to let ourselves in. No further information provided. We did not have a working television so rang the emergency number and a member of staff appeared and said that he had discovered that none of the televisions on one side of the hotel were working so he moved us to another room.

Rooms were very clean, staff very friendly, especially Arena,( sorry have probably incorrectly spelt her name) who greeted us both mornings at breakfast. Very good choice of items for breakfast, evening meal in the restaurant was excellent.

Hard to find anything negative, if you pushed me to say something I would say some hooks for hanging towels on the bathroom door would be helpful as it was a very small space.

Ideal for our stay. Have stayed previously and rated the hotel. Really enjoyed our meals in the restaurant. Staff friendly... Expect to return again.

Bit of a surprise to find car park closed but clearly some work going on. Not a problem though as plenty of space on the road.

It was nice decor in the place

Both days we couldn’t have a cooked breakfast but the day we checked in we were told we could except the Sunday as the Carvery was on this day … so was a bit gutted as we had a 11 hour drive home and had to go to somewhere else for breakfast The WiFi was non existent in the hotel no connections worked for it atall , tv we had to stream the hotspot from our own phones as Netflix etc didn’t work Was supposed to be a deluxe room with the lights around the ceiling which would have been a nice touch but the room was very bare and basic although we passed some other rooms that were being cleaned which had more than ours …. Also the tiles in the bathroom are cracked and moving as you walk around them and the wallpaper is peeling off most sections of the wallpaper & the carpark was closed so we had to park the car on the main road Small things could make this place so much better staff don’t really have that warming friendly vibe either it’s a very basic hi and bye … it was actually a customer in the bar section who adviced us where we went to check in as no one was present in the area and it’s around the back of the place you go to check in bit of a strange setup

The property was clean and nicely decorated . The staff were very friendly. The food choice in the restaurant in the evening was varied and very nice

Coffee machine was out of order at breakfast.

On arrival, we thought it was a lovely place from the outside. Plenty of Parking. We got here early 9am for a event., lady behind the bar che bed us in so massive thank you. Rooms are fresh clean and very well decorated. The restaurant bar and food were very pleasant Staff very polite and friendly Great experience will stay again.

The hotel is clean, friendly & tastefully decorated. The restaurant is very reasonably priced & the staff were helpful.

Bottled water in the room might be a nice touch as the tap water wasn’t great. We had an issue with one of our meals in the restaurant but this was dealt with promptly & the staff went above & beyond to rectify the problem.
