Could have been a better hostel.

There was soap. There was hot water in the shower. It was close to the beach. Towels were included.

The wifi was not really strong. Next to the room is a terminal and I could hear noise from that place. No T.V. the bathroom needs to be further cleaned because I saw some dust on the wall or it could've been black mold. The price could have been cheaper because I paid 2 dollars less for a room in kuta with excellent wi fi, cable TV, mini fridge and a bigger bathroom. And there was no trash can in the room so I had to grab one from outside.

I wasn't happy

The location was good.

There is a lot of noise in the early morning, I could not sleep well as it directly overlooks the parking areas for bikes and cars, and also little privacy as the family lives in the entrance of the hostel and you have to overcome that at night when you come back and everyone wakes up to open the outside door including the old man, also an important point is that there are no lights in the stairwell at night which makes it very difficult Also, beware of the laundry service, it is terrible. The clothes are washed with water only, without soap, and the smell of the clothes is not good Finally, the corners of the room were not cleaned well.

Arrived for our first night in Bali. Checked in 3am and was demanded to go to go to the ATM wouldn’t let us pay in the morning despite it being this time of the morning and we had no idea where there even was an ATM. Minimal English is fine but when you’ve no manners is different. Then showed us to the room which he didn’t even help with our bags as there was about 5! After settling into the room we got knocked on twice after 3am . Once for towels and second time for water. Great to have these but we’re trying to sleep at this stage of the night! Then the next morning 10:50 get another knock reminding us check out is 11. Glad we only stayed one night because they were so unbelievably rude. Dismissed my boyfriend when he was trying to check out. Not a great welcome or impression for first timers in Bali!

The AC and Wifi worked.

I would not recommend staying here. The rooms on the upper floor seem okay, but the three on the first floor are not acceptable. We were supposed to stay for four nights but checked out after one night. We even asked if we could have an upgrade to one of the upstairs rooms, but unfortunately, they were apparently all occupied. There was a strong smell of mold in the room and the walls looked like it as well, it seemed like they had just been painted over them, also the shower curtain was pretty disgusting. The towels were also stained unfortunately. I wish I could write a better review because the women have been quite nice, but unfortunately there is little good to say about our experience. We had a lot of mosquitoes in the room, so a mosquito net would have been very nice.

Great location but...

Location central, super close to beach and near various restaurants. Good value for the location.

I stayed in the "Jordan" private room. Mold on the wall. Water leaking from pipe below sink. Everytime water ran down sink, water would leak and form a puddle in front of shower. When raising the issue with the front desk, they offered to clean it and provide towels to soak up the puddle. Meanwhile, not fixing the issue with the pipe itself. Musty smell of moisture upon entering room, quickly get used to. Bathroom door doesn't close. Okay if you're solo, maybe not so if you're a couple.

Drinking water refilling station was inside the front office which closes down at night. No cold water available too. And i hope theres a common area where guests could meet since its a hostel. a pool area might also be nice.

The place feels safe and clean even if it is a little dated but the pros far outweigh the cons.

You have to realise that this is budget accommodation however, there is good hot water and aircon, wonderful and happy staff and an onsite laundry service which is super affordable. Oh! And Echo Beach is less than 100M from your front door.😎

In some of the rooms there are no wardrobes or anywhere to store your bags and clothing, you may have to live out of your suitcase on the floor.

Very dependent on which room you get. We were in the downstairs twin room and it was damp and dingy. However our friend was in a room upstairs and it was much cleaner and nicer.

it was okay, but very cold & distant atmosphere

-we were three people and could get a mattress inside. negative: it was insanely expensive for just a mattress -central -we got sick, and it was no problem to be there for more than our originally booked nights. thanks!! we needed that!!

-I felt like the owner (?) tried to get as much money from us as possible. laundry is expensive! 35k for a kilo!! extra mattress was expensive too! he wasn’t the friendliest -even though our friend was very sick she had to check out at 12am, and couldn’t stay in bed for a longer time. they didn’t try to help finding a solution.

Simple but excellent! My room was perfect. AC good. Not one mosqito bite during the week. Staff will greet you with a big smile. Close to some of canggus surfspots.

Great location, spacious room, working AC and fan, good wifi. You're a few minutes from the beach and a 10-15 minute walk from lots of great restaurants. It's a really good price considering the size of the room and location.

The shower didn't drain so there was always a huge puddle in the bathroom. I wish there had been a blanket and not just a thin sheet. Sometimes, the nearby beach club is a bit loud but that's to be expected given the location. Gojek won't pick you up from this location so you have to walk 5 minutes so just keep that in mind.
