I liked, but everything about the premises was amazing. The only issue was there are no microwaves into the room but other than that split, everything were great.
I did not appreciate it when housekeeping knocking on the room door asking me what time I’m checking out. My checkout was on the ninth housekeeping knocked on my room door on the eighth with a paper in her hand waking me and my husband out of our sleep I went downstairs to the receptionist and ask her why was housekeeping knocking on my door on the eighth and I’m going to be checking out on the ninth. She looked in the computer and say yeah you’re right there’s no manager there. It shouldn’t matter it should been on a piece of paper or a clipboard, knowing when your customers check out date is listed.

They had no breakfast and no restaurant open on facility grounds!
No smoke alarm in a 7th floor room (it was removed with wires tied up). The deadbolt on the door didn't work. No bulbs in a light stand that we needed to use.

the resort has 3 elevators only one worked and it took forever, i was in room 804 the door didn’t lock, the sheets was dirty, and the tissue roll was a pipe, also the tv remote didn’t work its was broken.

I am deeply disappointed both in the hotel which was overbooked. I arrived at almost midnight after a day travel. There was no real apology, and I even pre-checked in. Shameless approach by hotel and a very poor note on booking.com and the hotel for letting this happen. Apparently hotels can be overbooked which by itself seem to be ridiculous. Than if it happens, you would expect proactive support from both entities. Apparently the receptionist was dealing with several overbookings at the same time so great caution and awaiting recompensation of made expenses.

Decent reception staff, and were courteous enough to hold our luggage a few hours, as we reached a bit earlier than check in time.
Rooms were so inconvenient and unprepared. Didn’t even have towels and had to ask for them. Pillows were too small, no bigger than a cushion. No functional restaurant in the property, and everything is far away - especially inconvenient when you are just stopping for a day, in between travels, and don’t have a car to drive around.

The room and bathroom were nasty. All the building smells of marihuana. There were kids all around because of a soccer tournament. Unacceptable.

Found poop stain in first room then next room had pubic hairs all over shower like house keeping never cleaned. Staff doesn’t care . Elevators are slow and two don’t work. Worst experiences don’t work.

The property was VERY dirty, old and falling apart. The elevator was past due for inspection (last inspection was due in 2024 per the form in the elevator). We arrived late around midnight and our first room had stains on the sheets and some leftover streamers taped to the ceiling as well as confetti left on the floor. Both nightstand lights had no power cords so they didn’t work, and after we finally got a light on it looked like urine dripping down the headboard. Overall dirty and not functional. After we went back to the front desk and requested a new room it took over a half hour while the man working the front desk went and checked on a few different rooms for us. Once we made it back to the room the remote wouldn’t work for the Tv. My husband made several trips back and forth to the front desk trying to resolve the issue, but eventually we gave up. We went to use the shower only to realize we didn’t even have any towels. My husband went back down AGAIN only to be told the towels would be sent up. By the time we even received the towels it was nearly 3am. The next morning we had decided to cancel the remainder of our stay and find somewhere else to go and we notice that the smoke detector was completely off the wall disconnected.

Rooms smelled weird, hallways smelled weird. There was fully a lady living in the next room full time with cats, which I’m sure contributed to the smell. It looked like the hotel was due for maintenance or upgrades.

The elevator was not working and additional operating elevator was not offered for use.
Maintenance work was unable to communicate in English so we felt there was no option but to climb eight flights of stairs we a disabled knee.

the doors didn’t lock . Only one elevator worked . We didn’t have a microwave or toothpaste . The tv & phone in our first room didn’t work . They changed our room & it didn’t have any iron board , towels etc . The toilet paper was hanging from pipes . The pillows were smalll .

No parking for paying guest staying at the hotel only for those holding parties and church in the lobby, parking lot is very dark, only 1 elevator worked an it took forever the other elevators were broken, the soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were broken, flies in the bathroom, loud noise from parties downstairs coming into the rooms upstairs, rooms are very dark (no proper lightening). Very disappointing experience!

Dana is amazing! Kind, quick and very knowledgeable about the area! She made me want to come back again with her hospitality. I had a lot of questions on getting around and things to do and she always answered everything with a smile. My child also has autism and I asked for an accommodation which she was able to provide and arrange and we are so grateful. We loved the decor and location!

The actual place is nice. I like the retro decor, spacious rooms with lots of storage, nice size balcony with view of the pool, tennis court, golf course, park, heated salt water pool, poolside bar and grille, other restaurant option-even though breakfast options were limited.
No microwave in the room when spending one night. No insulation in wall - I could hear people in the room beside me carry on a conversation until 2am. Then picked back up at 7am.
This hotel hosts several events on the weekend and the guests of the hotel have to fight for parking spots when the visitors come to these events. I literally drove around the huge lot and the adjoining park's lot 6 times before finding a worker who was leaving to trail and get their spot. Was very inconvenient and annoying at 10pm at night.

I was looking for a quick good deal nearby as my plans had unexpectedly changed. I checked in around 9pm, and then had an early morning flight, so I didn't get an opportunity to walk around the property. I really loved the eclectic style of Chateau Mar Golf Resort. The little blue mini fridge in my room was adorable and the chairs in the lobby were super comfy. The staff member who checked me in was so sweet and kind, especially since I chatted her ear off while she was checking me in. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Our flight got delayed and we sent them a message saying that if we will only check in at midnight and if they can provide us a late check out. After arriving at the property the guy at front desk said we are overbooked and we can’t give you a room. I could not believe my ears as it was past midnight and I had 2 kids in the car. My husband went in and confronted the guy at the front desk and he said that’s how we do it, this hotel always take overbooking and the customer who get late we think they will not come. They did not return our money and when we checked with booking customer service they said, the hotel is saying they accommodated us 😅 How unprofessional and sick, they are thief. Please beware of this place especially if you have small children and you decide to check in late night. We have all the proof to show that we were let down but they are still eating out money. Can’t believe this is Wyndham hotel. We looked for another hotel and finally checked in at hotel near Lauderdale by the sea.
Booking.com still have this hotel on their site this shows they are running a scam racket and stealing money of middle class people. I wish I could sue them or do a police complain but I live in Texas and I don’t wanna go through so much trouble with young kids.
Never using booking.com to book my stay anywhere. They were the ones who charged me and they should have investigated well. There were cameras at the property esp at the main gate. I gave my car number plate as well but they didn’t check and just sent a email saying they can’t do anything. How sickening, forget about compensation the money that I owe I’m not even getting that. I contacted booking next day not the same night as I was on holiday and wanted to find a place for ourselves. How bad the world can be. My first experience of getting cheated of my money and ouch !! it hurts.
