Overall expect stay, room was clean, comfortable and a great location with easy access to Matlock Bath and easy walking. Good car parking on site. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was great.
Kitchen was being refurbished so no food. However breakfast was still available.

Would definitely stay again
Have stayed here before. Good location for Matlock centre, friendly staff. My Husband loved the cooked breakfast which was plenty to keep you going until your evening meal! Good quality bacon and sausages which so often lets a cooked breakfast down. They also offered kippers and porridge which I had but way too much for me, also packaged cereal and juice were on offer. I didn't want a full English but they did provide a bacon sandwich. Clean bathroom and bedding also
It would of been nice if perhaps golden/maple syrup was provided with the porridge as the packaged jam did not melt. In some areas of the room it looked a bit tired and dusty but these areas were out of reach - ie behind curtains, small window in bathroom

Despite the poor weather, we enjoyed our stay and were able to explore the area by car and bus.
All staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was exceptional. We found the bed very comfortable. The room appeared to be freshly decorated - the colours were very 'restful'.
The furniture in our room was a bit tatty, especially the bedside tables. The entrance to the rooms from the public area was a bit 'tired'.

Staff are all excellent - helpful and kind. Convenient for town, clean, good sized room and bathroom. Great breakfast!
Noisy from the corridor outside the room, our bathroom door didn’t shut properly.
