Wonderful break.

The welcoming feel of both the people and the place. Nothing was too much trouble from providing menus for take away to getting a birthday card and cake for my husband when they noticed the cards in our room. The room facilities, including a fridge and daily bottles of water, extra pillows should you need them.

There was nothing we did not like, it was a little more isolated than we had realised, but only minutes to any shops and many outdoor experiences. So as far as we were concerned it's a wonderful relaxing place to visit for a few days or longer.

Everything was first class!

A very warm welcome is always much appreciated and that’s just what I received. The room was very comfortable and above all spotless! The owners were extremely kind and pleasant. They provided a superb breakfast. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay!

It’s our second visit to Bridleways only this time we stayed in the amazing cottage which was an absolute dream. The cottage was as expected scrupulously clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated throughout. The breakfast is always cooked to order using fresh produce and served by friendly Staff. Fully recommended and we will be returning next year.

Lovely bit of me time in a fabulous guest house with great views and lovely food.

Amazing stay again! The room was amazing, spacious, clean with all the little touches that make it home from home. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to make me comfortable during my stay. Breakfast was perfect, excellent produce and served quickly. Tracy was attentive but not hovering which was great. Fabulous location but close enough to town and things to do. Can't wait til next time

Fabulous peaceful long weekend

What a fantastic cottage tucked away in the countryside. The cottage was immaculate with everything you could possibly wish for to make a cosy comfortable getaway. Airy, bright and tastefully decorated with comfortable sofas, beds , lovely fluffy towels and an assortment of scrumptious toiletries. Our hosts Emyr and Tracey were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were on hand to give us excellent advice on walks and eateries. I would not hesitate to stay here again

FAB-U-LOUS!!!!

Attention to detail was superb, from the eye masks in the bedroom to the nicely arranged packs of salt and pepper on the breakfast table. Everything you could wish for was there including electric reclining chairs in the bedroom. Breakfast was particularly nice. The best we have had anywhere. As with everything the breakfast items were arranged neatly on the plate and everything was cooked perfectly.

Calm, restorative guest house in a lovely natural spot.

Very well run, high quality and lovely woodland setting by a bridleway. Hosts and other staff were friendly and helpful, and the place had a calm and peaceful tone. Also very comfortablr electric leather recliner chairs in a spacious luxury double, at a very reasonable price.

Very friendly, nice position, I would happily return.

Emyr greeted me using my name and addressed other guests using their first names. The facilities were fully explained and he walked me up to my room. In the room there were many thoughtful touches and it was very clean and tidy.

Not the fault of the proprietor as the bathroom was small the place is based on two cottages but the shower cubicle was smaller than I’d of liked.

Ideal location for cyclists or walkers going to Sherwood Forest and bike trails park , also a very good standard breakfast to start an active day as you will not need lunch

Amazing beautiful fun filled stay!

Our stay here this weekend was absolutely brilliant! The hosts were so lovely and friendly and they made us feel so welcome 😊 the place was absolutely spotless and is in such a brilliant and beautiful location. Can't fault it at all. Will definitely book to stay again.

Exceeded my expectations, and was a very enjoyable stay!

One of the owners greeted me, and we had a pleasant conversation about the house and the area. He gave me directions to the place I was going to the next day, which were very helpful and accurate. He told me a little history about the house, and was very welcoming and accommodating.

I found the bed to be a bit hard, and the pillows too big. I don’t know if there was the options to swap out the pillows for different thicknesses.

A little gem, will book again!

You will get the warmest of welcomes here and the owners and staff go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, thinking of everything a traveler may need. The rooms are quiet, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well decorated with lovely local touches. The grounds are peaceful and private and there is ample parking on site. Breakfast was lovely with a wide range of options catering for all dietary requirements. This really is a lovely place to stay.

This is a wonderful 'home fron home' place.. spotlessly clean and all the facilities you need. It is very welcoming ( just had our 4th stay) and look forward to more superb breakfast with plenty of choice exceptional hosts , quiet location . What more could you want.

Perfect stay

This place is in a fantastic location, with easy access to walking and cycling routes. The owners were so welcoming and couldn't do enough, from explaining local attractions to local shops and places to eat. The rooms were very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Will definitely be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated it’s close proximity to Vicar Water Country Park.

Quiet and peaceful location with doorstep access to the countryside. Spacious, comfortable room with good facilities. Good parking, pleasant gardens all add to a positive experience. Our helpful hosts made us feel very welcome. Overall a lovely place to stay.
