Despite our initial trouble with checking in Neil himself was very considerate in taking the time to help us access our room and the apartment was spacious and had the essentials we'd need for our stay like cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. Furniture like beds, sofas and dining chairs were nice and comfy and the area around us was pleasantly quiet and didn't disrupt sleep.

Right when we arrived we spent an hour outside running all around trying to get in thinking we had the wrong building or we needed to put in the code before being able to get a hold of Neil and finding out that we hadn't been given our check in information. During our stay there was a drink spill on the sofa and in our attempts to clean it up the stain remover from the under sink cupboard was ineffective and just made the stain far worse than it originally was and we noticed multiple other small dark spots on the cushions.

Main bedroom had a lingering smell of smoke at times. This could have been from outside etc while windows open. Could do with a new mattress in main bedroom as indentation from where others have slept. This is me just being picking and I would stay here again.

There's premier shop right next door to grab stuff, which was handy as we don't drive

Instuctions for the shower in main bathroom as I could not figure it out and battery in the front clock. Really small things.

The apartment is huge, well located and well equipped. In general it felt very comfortable.

The parking space wasn’t free when I threw to park the car and the owner didn’t reply until the next day about it. The WiFi wasn’t there. I mentioned it to the owner twice and had no answer.

Super spacious and modern, and Neil was great at helping us extend for another night when our travel plans changed last minute.

Delightful

This was an ideal place for a long weekend, I'd book again if I was returning, the hosts went out of their way to help with a booking.com issue so that I didn't end up stuck with nowhere to stay.

NIce relaxing break (and the football team won!)

Good place to stay - i was at atlantic mansions. 10 minutes from the football ground and 20 minute walk to town. Nice apartment with good facilities. Parking outside on street or nearby student place if you book it!

Absolutely miserable and I would not recommend that anyone uses this facility in its current state

We were looking for an apartment for 2 days prior to going on a cruise so on that criteria only it was OK , but as I have indicated this apartment should not have been let given the works in the building

The honest position of the landlord would have been to contact me in advance and advise that the apartment was undergoing major construction work and offered our money back . We had to buy washing cloths and had to contact the landlord and ask for shower gel, soap etc The whole building was covered in scaffolding and tarpaulin , the view from the window was scaffolding and the entry thorough a works area . We paid £341.00 for 2 nights clearly the landlord thought well why not make a bit extra when he knew he should have closed the facility .

The place was well-prepared and everything was clean when we arrived. The location is also strategic and very near the city centre.

We had some minor trouble finding the exact building as Google map indicated a different location (opposite the right building). We also had to pay for the parking. The hot water for shower seems to have a limit in the morning.

Absolutely appalling management by Smart Apartments and also badly managed by Booking.com

Absolutely nothing, it's a disaster !!

Everything - I made a booking with Smart Apartments which turned out to be not very smart at all. I had booked a weekend stay at Empress Heights, College Street, Southampton, SO14 3EJ from 13 May - 15 May, at a cost of £383. I was then offered an “upgrade” which I accepted but when we arrived, I was disgusted to find the apartment was located at a completely different address of Atlantic Mansions, Albert Road South, SO14 3FR. There were no cars on the street and it just looked like a complete dump. We are pensioners in our early 70’s and we had hoped to walk around the area, go for a meal and then walk back again. We did not think it would be safe and I certainly wasn’t happy taking my wife to such a place. While unloading the car, young people, students were entering and leaving the building and we realised the building is student rented accommodation. The lobby area was dingy, dirty and smelt damp and we decided this property was certainly not worth the cost of £192 per night that we had been charged. We were not prepared to stay in this place and we managed to find alternative accommodation elsewhere. I have asked for a refund but of course heard nothing from the people who call themselves Smart Apartments.

Good location for me as I had an appointment in town, and appartmeent had everything i needed. Shop just around the corner for groceries etc.

Opposite a public car park so occasional noise and not a great view.. easy access with parking under. No free WiFi but I didn't need it.

Kitchen fully equipped including dishwasher, liked that there was freh water bottle in the fridge. The rooms were tidy and the presentation of the linen and additional toiletries was welcoming. Netflix was logged in for use, which was nice.

The window in the double room could not really open as I wanted it to.

Great apartment, very well looked after

The apartment is very clean and immaculate. Its very well facilatated and the onsite private parking is very convenient. The apartment is very well situated and its only a 10min walk into the centre of town.

The beds werent very comfortable, they were a bit worn out and dipped in the middle. Also can be quite noisy as its right next to a main road.

Pleasant apartment but noisy at night

Free parking and cosy apartment.

Only enough room to seat 3 in living room area. A two seater sofa and a small bedroom type chair, when it’s a 4 person apartment. With the windows open at night the street outside was very noisy throughout the night. Car park opposite where people slamming car doors and boots and shouting from people coming home from the pub. So didn’t get much sleep.
