QE2 Apartments - Harbour & Hyde, Southampton High Street

The location was ideal for walking around in Southampton.

Easier communication with host. I booked through Booking.com so evidently ALL communication flowed through that agency. It was wildly inconvenient and I was never actually able to make contact with the host/proprietor. There is no lift. I cannot stress that this was a huge inconvenience for my elderly mother. I wanted to change rooms and would have paid practically any amount to do so, but we NEVER heard back from the property during the entirety of our stay. The hotel is charming, but we were in the uppermost room accessed by a maze of steep, narrow stairs - it was grueling. Once we got my mom settled, she didn't leave for the rest of the stay.

Beautiful apartment, excellent communication with host. Great position in Southampton for easy access to everywhere..

1. Am happy to have booked this place for my family to have a change/feel by visiting Southampton 2. I know the area is easy for me because of landmarks 3. All emails and links sent to me was filled and completed before time 4. There's know reception, I have to call the contact number for entry and was swift 5. Our stay was OK the kids love it and wanted to stay a bit longer 6. The cleaning lady's are fantastic because I chat with them

1.The postcode on a maps is hard to find, they have to look at it again 2. Couldn't get entry or code thinking I can get it from the reception desk, confirmation email was sent to me after i call the contact number 3. I took pictures before lodging and another after leaving, cleaning must improve
