Maria & her husband make it feel like you are in their home at all times. It is a beautiful venue & I would definitely recommend having dinner as well as breakfast as it is so easy to meet so many friendly faces. Highly highly recommended!

It was brilliant to be so close to the mountains and to have such caring hosts. The food was delicious and the facilities were all solid.

It was a little further from the centre of Theth than we were expecting. The distance is walkable, as long as you know the correct path.

The house is in good location, around 30 minutes walking to the start of hiking route. The scenery was gorgeous and very fresh and peaceful in the morning and evening.

I am allergic to the bed sheet or its bed bugs. Get itchy and red points on my arms, neck, back, legs and even hand.

I don't regret it because I needed a place to sleep. I walked the trail from Theth to The Blue Eye—it took 3.5 hours one way. It's beautiful and definitely worth doing! Don't forget to bring a power bank for your GPS. The scenery is idyllic. It’s absolutely beautiful—the mountains, the peace and quiet outdoors, and the pleasant weather. It’s magnificent. I have very fond memories of this area. And the lodging is set apart from downtown Theth, so there are fewer people and less foot traffic for those seeking peace and quiet. However, it’s a 44-minute walk from downtown Theth—where the taxi drops you off—to this lodging. There are taxis, but they charge a minimum of 20 euros.

On the other hand, the lady wasn’t honest with me. She tells you a price as soon as you arrive, including dinner, without mentioning that it’s not mandatory. What’s more, she did something that really touched me. Knowing that I had dropped off my bag at 7:00 a.m. to go on the hike. She put my bag in the guesthouse and told me, “Tonight you’ll stay in the dorm.” That’s what we’d agreed on. I was happy that she was keeping my bag for the day. When I got back, she’d forgotten about me, and the dorms were full. Thank goodness she told me to stay in the guesthouse. But she still tried to negotiate the price down to 30 euros, even though she was the one who’d forgotten about me. I insisted on sticking to my original price, but I felt uncomfortable. Breakfast is very good and hearty, but unfortunately, the lady assigns you to tables. If you decide to eat at 8 a.m. and there are people who started at 7:30 a.m., you join them and eat whatever’s on the table. So if they’ve run out of coffee, too bad. Especially since there was no electricity. You don’t get any shower towels, and there’s no light. It’s very noisy in the evening; people are shouting upstairs. Luckily, the hike to The Blue Eye was magnificent… I recommend paying as soon as you arrive. I insisted on this, but she wouldn’t listen. And you have to show the amount on Booking.com too, because sometimes they set their own prices.
