Beautiful, tasteful, unique accommodation

An absolutely beautiful apartment in a beautiful townhouse in a beautiful part of Brussels! Our host was fabulous, perfectly attentive and welcoming whilst offering privacy and relaxation. Loved the quirky nature of the place, the amazingly high ceilings and the tasteful decor. Well equipped, including (unexpectedly) a couple of English BBC channels on the TV for chilling in the comfy sofa late in the day. Well connected to public transport which was amazingly efficient and cheap, lots of restaurants in walking distance and a supermarket a 2 min walk away. Despite me maybe having reservations about the layout/facilities which I hadn't realised until after booking, I would certainly book again if ever back in Brussels - amazing value too!

The positives of quirky to me might translate to unconventional to others... It's 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment, with the kitchen and a toilet on the lower floor, then up to the upper floor which has the lounge and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a toilet and separate bathroom up another few steps, and the other room a beautiful free standing bath and sink. The negatives are that shower facilities are limited to hand held shower heads in both baths, without any form of shower screens/curtains. A huge practical improvement would be for one of the baths to have a wall mounted shower with curtain, or even better a walk-in shower. For us, for two nights, it wasn't a big deal, but for our group with more limited mobility it was something I should have picked up before booking. The other quirky aspect is the very retro lift that travels through the whole house - it is the type with gated mesh doors which does mean that the owner can in theory glimse into a small part of the apartment as they travel through, but this never disturbed us once and is easily mitigated insofar as the small hallway where the lift runs through can be closed off by door. The only other thing to mention is that the apartment locks only (as far as I could tell) on the upper floor so I guess you wouldn't want to leave any belongings in the kitchen, as would in theory be accessible to the ground floor occupant. The whole house is secured externally however so this really wasn't an issue, but it would be slightly more convenient/reassuring if the lock to the lower floor was also functional for guessing use too. All that said, would come back again in a heartbeat - loved it!

Hidden gem in the most beautiful area of Bruxelles!

We loved the location: the neighbourhood is super quiet, with many nice bars and restaurants. Also the availability of the host was superb. She was always reachable through the app and very precise in her indications. Finally the house is amazing. The apartment is full of light, very spacious and elegant.

We wished it was a bit cleaner. That means that upon arrival we could notice it needed some dusting and some hair were on the floor. But honestly for short stay (and considering we spent most of the time outside anyway) is perfectly fine. Most importantly the bedsheets and towels were all clean! It is true that perhaps the bathtub solutions are not the most indicated for everyone, but it certainly adds a touch of elegance and fun.

Beautiful well located apartment and not expensive.

Very large beautifully designed and well maintained old apartment. Constance was very helpful and responsive. It was super easy to get to the center with public transpotation. I highly recommend this place and would come here again.

Superb

The apartment is so spacious, clean and well equipped. The instructions for finding the apartment and keys are also very clear. We enjoyed our stay there.

It was challenging to bring our big suitcases up the 2.5 flight of narrow stairs to the apartment. It would be nice if the lift can be operated, just for the luggage

Vintage

Apartment was big and full of light, located in a very good and safe neighborhood. No problems walking after sunset. Apartment is well equipped and has a vintage appeal, old windows, doors, floors, but everything very clean and in good condition. Public transportation was close. We were very satisfied with our choice of accommodation.

The apartment entrance is located on the second floor. On the same floor is the kitchen and one WC, but living room and bedrooms are one floor higher. Only one of bedrooms have direct access to WC, the other must go down one floor. Both bedrooms have bathrooms, but there is only a bath in each and no separate shower. This was not a problem for us, but might be for some.

Self catering. One of the most beautiful streets of Brussels- lovely for walking and exploring.

The layout of the apartment is very unusual: stairs from kitchen and one wc to rest of apartment, then stairs up to partial bathroom with tub and sink, then more stairs to second wc. The beds could have been bigger. Nice big rooms but beds not king size with plastic mattress covers.

Wonderful palace

Wonderful apartment, big beautiful rooms. Nice location. Fully equipped kitchen. Simply the best place you can stay. The owner is very helpful and always available. This apartment has everything and more. It is is not a apartment it is a palace.

Two things to keep in mind(not necessary the drawback for everyone) 1. The bathroom has only bathtub, no possibility to take a shower standing(only hand shower is there) which can be inconvenient for some people. No curtains as well. But this can be manage for few vacation days. 2. Car parking is free only for every 2 hours, so you need to use the disc and update the disc time every 2 hours. As i was there during new year, it was a holiday time so it was not a big issue for me but i am not sure how it will be during non holiday times. Although owner have made it clear during the time of booking, so it was not a surprise for me.

Appartement de charme pour un bon séjour à Bruxelles

L'appartement a beaucoup de charme, il est bien équipé, et bien situé pour se rendre en Centre ville de Bruxelles. Nous avons même fait le trajet à pied en raison d'une grève surprise des transports. Le quartier est agréable, avec ses belles façades d'immeubles, ses commerces... Constance est très arrangeante sur les horaires d'arrivée et de départ. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Bruxelles.

L'immeuble est ancien avec le charme (parquet, moulures, cheminées..) et les inconvénients que cela peut présenter (pas de double vitrages sur les baies vitrées côté rue, parquets qui craquent, cage d'ascenseur qui laisse passer les bruits).

De ligging ten opzichte van het centrum en de nabijheid van voldoende eet en shop gelegenheid.

Douchen in een bad dat midden in de kamer staat vergt behoorlijk wat skills om vallen en waterballet te voorkomen. gelukkig was er de wastafel als alternatief

Mi è piaciuto quasi tutto, solo qualche piccolo miglioramento auspicabile A mio avviso, pur essendo perfettamente utilizzabili per un breve soggiorno, i bagni potrebbero essere migliorati inserendo un lavabo per le mani nel locale del wc. Oggi si devono fare delle scale per andare a lavarsi almeno le mani dopo l'utilizzo. Uno dei due bagni è su un piano diverso dalla camera Inoltre c'è un ascensore piuttosto aperto che passa nell'appartamento ad uso, credo, del piano superiore. Ritengo sarebbe opportuno almeno schermarlo per una maggiore privacy

Het appartement is echt fantastisch op een prachtige plek. Aanrader.

Wat echt anders moet, is dat je normaal kunt douchen. Via het bad is niet te doen, zeker als je je haar will wassen. Ju kunt niet iedere keer het bad vol laten lopen.

Parfait !

L'appartement est magnifique dans un quartier calme. De jolies boutiques à deux pas. Le salon spacieux permet de se reposer ou travailler. Les lits sont immenses et confortables. La baignoire dans l'une des chambres donne un aspect grand luxe à l'ensemble. Propriétaire très agréable qui a permis un dépôt anticipé des bagages. Parfait pour les voyages d'affaires et très certainement en couple ou entre amis.

Espectacular casa

La casa es preciosa. Nos ha encantado. Con muchas comodidades y las camas perfectas. Una casa que parece un palacio. No es nada incómodo tener abajo la cocina, tiene su encanto. Los anfitriones muy atentos.

Hay una habitación q no tienen persianas, y aunque las cortinas son opacas al ser unas ventanas tan grandes entraba mucha claridad en cuanto amanecía. Me compré un antifaz y solucionado

Prachtig appartement in een mooie wijk. Fijn contact met de verhuurder. Genoten. Een mooi unieke plek. Ik zou het weer huren.

Wij waren met ons gezin hier samen en hechten in die omstandigheden aan samen eten. Het liefst aan een eettafel. Die is er helaas niet. Dus op de bank eten. Prima, maar mijn tip zou een eettafel zijn.
