If you're visiting Malta this is an excellent place to stay. Sliema itself is a bustling harbour town with plenty bars, cafes, shops within ten minutes walk of hotel. Also within ten minutes walk is the harbour where you can book boat trips to Gozo and blue lagoon, and get a ferry to Valetta which takes ten minutes in itself (or around 8 euros in a Bolt) if you book a boat trip through Viator make sure this pickup point in Sliema is your closest one on Google maps. It'll be much more convenient. Facilities basic but clean and comfortable. Free bottled water at reception and coffee machine at reception. Some toilets aren't in the bedrooms but are very close and robes etc are provided. Would recommend.
Only thing is the busy road lots of noisy bikes so take some silicone ear plugs for at night if you're a sensitive sleeper. Although I slept okay most nights, and this will affect most hotels in the area.

Backstage Boutique Music Townhouse HAS PERSONALITY. It’s as if staying in a place that is alive.
Honestly, how the owners manage the place is exceptional. It’s a close relationship with their guests - they are available, and very helpful in such amazing ways. The go the extra mile.
The room was great for what we wanted. Most important we didn’t feel as tourists arriving somewhere transactional, we felt part of the place. Nowadays, it’s not that easy to relate in such ways when you arrive to a new country.
Breakfast was ideal : Fruits, juice, bread, cheese, different types of ham, jam, teas & coffee. Everything delicious.
An amazing point to me is that they offer water for free. Hats off to this symbolic move.
It is situated in a quiet area - which is at a pivotal point between all the areas of Malta. We never drove more than 30 mins to any of our destinations : Smashing.
We will definitely come back & we are already recommending the lieu to our closest.
Thank you for making us enjoy Malta more than we ever thought !

Convinient
Hosts were lovely and accomodating. I slept good, but bring earplugs as it is on a busy street. Close to Silema ferries, shops restaurants bars etc.

The location of the guest house was great, and it was only a short walk down to the main street. The owners were delightful and helpful.
We booked for 5 nights but only stayed for one, as the room we were allocated was just too small to stay in. It was also located at the top of the property, accessible via a very steep stone staircase. We had to take one small suitcase up the stairs at a time, which was a struggle. The bed in the room was also accessed via a wooden ladder, which was not ideal, ok for children, but not for adults.
