The property was in walking distance to many of the beaches, the town and the zoo. This made getting around and meant we didn’t need to stress about travel. The room we stayed in was cozy and had all the things we needed, the small fridge was especially helpful.

Pleasant stay

I really appreciated the warm welcome and clear communication from Jackie—she made everything easy from the start. The guest house is small, cosy, and perfectly located just steps from the beach, with a lovely little bar that adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and tea, coffee, and milk replenished regularly. The powerful hairdryer, mini fridge, and freezer were all very handy, especially for storing our beach coolers. I also loved the thoughtful touches like the food waste bin in the corridor and the box of beach toys in the porch—perfect for families. The lounge area was a great bonus, with a TV, pool table, books, and games that my children really enjoyed. Parking was arranged in a garage across the road, which was a bit tricky to navigate but spacious enough for a standard car. And the hot water was always reliable—something we’ve learned not to take for granted! Overall, it was a comfortable, practical, and family-friendly stay that made our holiday truly enjoyable.

Hosts were wonderful the location was excellent room was very clean

I did not like that the room we was in did not have an ensuite. We did have private bathroom but unfortunately had to come out of room to use it. Was a bit of a nightmare having to mess about with keys in middle of the night and making sure we were covered in case we seen other guests which we did.

Had a fantastic holliday location was central.bus stop to visit around cornwall at bottom of road .plenty of shios food and bars near .the room was small in toilet if you are of larger size .bed comfy and clean .and host gave us clean towels evey day and bed linen was clean .jackie the host was brilliant .would recomend as all very close and hotel quiet at night ..

If anything the toilet shower room is small .apart from this loved the place 100% going back

Very good location, the room was clean and the bed was comfy, the games room was a nice extra.

Lovely break away .

This is a lovely b&b , always nice and clean with lovely hosts who are very helpful and the location is perfect really close to the beach lots of food places and the boating lake .

The Best place to stay in Newquay

The nice atmosphere the great breakfast. The location was absolutely perfect Near the zoo, and town and railway station. Buses just up the road. Beautiful places to visit. I Would rate the Harrington very highly. I have travelled around the uk and have stayed in many hotels. The Harrington is one of the best Would definitely return again in the near future.

Just the stairs but that isn't the fault of the hotel. I should of mentioned the health issues before hand.

Good location, nice owners but to much noise for us.

Owners helpful and friendly. Parking available either at the front of the property or in garages a 2 min walk way. Clean and bathroom supplies replenished daily.

it may have just been the weekend we was there and no fault of the owners but we had to keep our window open as it was really warm and the portable air con unit was very loud and in a timer. Each night apart from the Thursday from 11pm till gone 4am people were waking past singing, shouting, flighting and opposite a police station. Then the seagulls started at dawn. Again the weather or people walking past no fault of the owners and we was at the front of the building and maybe the back is a bit quieter. Maybe a good idea could be providing ear plugs so guests have them if needed. As states had an air on unit that was free standing just really loud.

A wonderful stay and I wish we could go back.

We’d booked a room last minute for just the two of us, but had an unexpected upgrade to a flat! Loads of wonderful space and spotlessly clean. The owner, Jackie, was lovely, as was Emma who also works there. We were even given a locked garage to keep our car in. The guest house is 5 mins walk from the coast and the nearest beach is the Great Western. Fantastic breakfast. Great shower. Huge bed! Couldn’t fault anything.

Excellent stay!

I have nothing but good things to say about Harrington Guest House and Jackie. The location couldn't be any better. It is at the very central of Newquay just next to the train station. The shops, restaurants and supermarkets are all within walking distance. The Great Western beach is only 5 minutes walk. Jackie had been a great host while we staying. Not only was she friendly and kind but she had also upgraded us to a two beds apartment due to cancellation. What a treat to the family. We had some great time at Harrington and Newquay. Would definitely recommend it.

Jackie is a great host and went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast provided was really good. The location is next to Great western beach and walking distance from Towan Beach. We were provided a garage to safely park our car. Would definitely recommend to other travellers.

We have never been to Cornwall before however we found the Harrington Guest House at a very reasonable price compared to a lot of other guest houses/hotels available! The location is ideal, everything you need is literally from the end of the road onwards! The guest house itself was great- had everything you need, room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the breakfast had plenty of choice with high quality food! Jackie was a great host and nothing was too much trouble! If we return to Newquay on future holidays we will definitely be returning to the Harrington!
