A szállás csalódás volt, mert nem volt komfortos és nem volt igényes.

A lakás gyönyörű helyen, Rovinj központjában volt. A légkondicionálás már be volt kapcsolva, így kellemes hűvös fogadott minket a kinti hőség után. A gyönyörű óvárost gyalogosan is felfedezhettük, a strandig gyalogolni kellett kb. 20 percet (kibírható, de kondi kell hozzá ), vagy áthajóztunk a csodás Vörös szigetre.

Bár a szálláshoz parkolást ígértek: ehhez képest, semmilyen formában nem volt biztosítva a kocsinknak a parkolás, a férjem kora reggel parkolás után vadászott kilómétereket, amiért fizetni kellett. Erre a szállás nem készített fel minket. Arra sem voltunk felkészülve , hogy a parkolás az óvárostól több km-re oldható meg, így a csomagjainkat meg kellett oldani feljuttatni a szállásunkig. Ezt egy Rovinjba speciális, riksa-szerű elektromos taxival lehetett csak megoldani( persze a mi pénzünkből), ugyanis csak ezek a járművek képesek az óváros kis-kanyargós utcáin közlekedni. A bútorzat szedett-vedett. Egyetlen szekrény volt csak az apartmanban, annak is egy része ágyneműkkel volt tele, a ruháimat nem tudtam rendesen felakasztani, mert olyan alacsony volt az akasztó rész, hogy a ruhák alját vissza kellett hajtanom (ciki). A nappaliban, volt egy nagyobb és egy kisebb komód,mindkettő tele volt tömve takarókkal, ágyneműkkel, így oda sem tudtunk pakolni. A törölköző tartók lötyögtek a falon(nem lehetett törölközőt rátenni), rozsdás volt a szemetes,a wc ülőke olyan ferde volt, hogy nem lehetett rajta rendesen ülni, a zuhanyzó saroktartója annyira lejtett, hogy nem lehetett semmit oda tenni. A tv oldalt volt, merőlegesen a kihúzott kanapéra(???nem is értem), így a komódot kellett elfordítanunk, hogy a nyakunk ne tekeredjen ki. Második nap egy denevér repkedett a szobámban...szegény ő, szegény én...

WiFi not available at all during our two night stay

The house is located in a very good location in an atmospheric old town.

The WiFi wasn’t working at all — the owner and manager apparently knew about the situation but didn’t inform us until after we found out during our two-night stay there. Needless to say, the lack of WiFi was very inconvenient for us as we were on limited roaming data. The only remedy offered was for us to buy an eSIM (and install it in a cafe using their WIFI), even after I explained to them that I had tried repeatedly but couldn’t get my phone to work with an eSIM during this trip. The owner promised to reimburse us a meager 20 euro for our inconvenience, but never actually did. In addition, while we knew the house has multiple floors and lots of steps, we didn’t realize that the only toilet and only shower are located on two different floors.

Exceptional

A wonderful three - floor apartment! When you get over the novelty of having the bedroom on the first floor, the toilet+ kitchen on the second floor and the livingroom and shower on the third floor its the best place. Right in the centre of old Town Rovinj, close enough to the City walls to have a morning swim, and to Great cafes and stores. Airconditioner on each floor. Spacious kitchen, small lovely details everywhere. The hostess is Great and very helpful.

Some noise from the street down below must be expected.

Superb

Excellent location right in the city centre, but in relatively quiet street. Very nice apartment, cosy but still spacious. Well equipped kitchen, we found everything we needed - kettle, garlic press, two coffee makers.

This apartment is not for those who don't like stairs: it's on three levels and the lowest floor is still one level up from the street. We didn't mind it though - it's part of the charm of living in the old town, all the houses there are like this.

Absolute Perfection

It was an experience like no other to wander at night the ancient narrow streets of Rovinj, illuminated by the dim warm light of candles quietly sizzling away in the creases of the stone walls that line them, and know that you actually get to stay in one of those beautiful historical houses. It has three stylishly, but practically furnished storeys, with a separate AC unit on each of them. The first floor contains a cozy bedroom with the softest and most comfortable bed you can imagine. On the second floor you'll find a spacious kitchen and a dining room, a separate toilet with its own window, the washing machine, and all the standard kitchen appliances. I also need to mention that there was a bottle of a very good wine ready for us when we arrived. The third floor is a nice living room where you can watch TV, or just chill on the couch listing to the stereo. This floor also has a separate bathroom that looks recently renovated and has its own window as well. Another thing that I really liked was the internet -- it was really fast, especially the upload, which was very useful because we had a lot of photos and videos that needed to be backed up to the cloud. We really really loved the house. It was so pretty, and the nights there were so calm and romantic, we were genuinely sad we had to leave.

Spacious, beautiful apartment in the heart of the old town of Rovinj.

Stylishly equipped, spacious three-storey house in the centre of the old town, but in a relatively less frequented street. Air-conditioninig on each floor, a restaurant and a small grocery store just around the corner. It is a great choice if you want to spend most of your time in Rovinj and live and enjoy its atmosphere. You can even contribute to it by hanging out your washed clothes. I had always wanted to try it, so a dream has come true :)

It is definitely not a place for bad spleepers, as there are noises inside and outside throughout the night. The beautiful, old wooden floors make a crackling sound, as well as the metal structure of the beds, so you need to tiptoe when going to the toilet (located on the second floor) at night, but it does not help much. The garbage truck comes to collect the trash at about 1.00 a.m. each night, tourists leaving early pull their suitcases on the cobblestones, not to mention the seagulls. I had expected they would be sleeping at night, but no! :) Also, don't sleep in the upper room, if light distrubs you, as the shade on one of the roof windows does not function properly. All in all, if you are prepared for these things, you will like this apartment, as even though you might not get too much sleep, you can drop in and have some rest any time during the day, which you can't do if you stay somewhere farther in the town.

Use Uber to drive around, and remember about stairs to the toilet from the bedroom.

The location is perfect, the apartment is the whole house is in the heart of the old town. The interior decoration is very nice.

We were not warned that we can't drive even close to the apartment, and had to carry our suitcases about a kilometer from a paid parking (cost us $50 for 2 days) along a busy road and on the rough pavement in the crowds uphill. The house had a bedroom and a sink on the second floor, a kitchen/dining area and a toilet on the third and a sitting room/bedroom with a shower on the fourth, so if you want to use the facilities in the middle of the night, you have to use steep stairs.

Exceptional

Montalbano is located in the city center, on a beautiful street, very very close to fancy restaurants, beach and many other tourist atractions. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We had AC in each room so we didn’t felt the warm weather coming out from outside. We did an early check-out and during our stay we kept in touch via whatsapp. I found a bottle of local wine on the table, just perfect for our city break start in beautiful Rovinj. I totally recommend Montalbano, it was great!

I announced that I will leave at 12 but the cleaning staff rang the doorbell at 10, saying that we need to get out, as the owner said. It wasn’t a big problem for us because we were just leaving but next time they should pay a little more attention.

"Great old town apartment"

Great little apartment. Great separate room for teenage son. Lovely old town feel. Host kindly let us leave our bags as we left town later and showed us free parking.

Bit confusing getting in on cobbled streets. Plan you route before starting.
