Lovely staff.
Friendly atmosphere.
Interesting menue. Food great.
No extractor fan in bathroom, but age of building could make certain improvements difficult. Old buildings are money pits.

The breakfast was really good, freshly cooked and hot and a good variety of choices.
We couldn't find any jam marmalade etc to have with our toast but not too much of a problem.
We sat by the open fire by the bar after our meal, a few more logs on it would have been good as it was nearly out!

Friendly old place in a great central location. Possibly the best pub in town, too. Decent food and good beer mean it can be recommended, on the whole. Needs a bit of modernisation, but still comfortable enough.
Room rates are a bit expensive but there’s not a lot of competition in the area.

Was close to where I needed to be next day
very poor quality room, it was like stepping back into the 80’s, TV was super small, couldn’t adjust shower head, wasn’t offered WiFi code & couldn’t find it anywhere
