We failed to stay. No help in car parking being 87 &88 to sign in. All we had wa « you can’t Park your car there »!!!

Brilliant central location to facilitate outdoor adventures.

Excellent location in the centre of Dolgellau with a great breakfast. We stayed in a dog friendly room - we had our dog with us - and i suspect these rooms are a little more practical i.e. hard floors rather than carpet etc. Taking a pooch also restricts your access to the full bar and restaurant, but this is absolutely in line with my expectation.

The water pressure isn't great, and the shower was defintiely on the gentle side - the rain outside was falling harder! The room wasnt perfectly clean - dusty floor etc - but then neither were we when we arrived back from a muddy mountain.

room 306 is wonderful - I've stayed with you many times and appreciate it when i get this room! staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinner are always excellent. this hotel is ideally placed for work for me and is my first choice when i have to travel to North Wales.

If you do not stay at this hotel you are missing one of lifes treats

This pub/hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. Location facilities value for money just superb. From the time we arrived(early) to the time we left John the Manager could just not do enough for us. We were three guys on a road trip just looking for a bed,what we got was excetional mainly in the way were looked after. You cannot buy that sort of support these days and I spend most of my time in 4/5 star fancy hotels.

The Royal Ship exceeded our expectations. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The town of Dolgellau is also lovely and worth visiting.

Fabulous hotel in a lovely town

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcomed and that continued throughout our 2 night stay. We were given the disability room as requested which was lovely and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had - compliments to the chef! We had an evening meal during our stay and the fish and chips was delicious. Situation of the hotel was central to the town and parking was relatively easy. Plenty of choice of drinks in the bar.

Good menu, cheerful,friendly staff. Very tasty good and plenty of it. The manager,John, was extremely helpful to us. We arrived on the wrong day but he sorted everything out with a smile !!.

Reading lights in the bar area would help when the weather kept guests indoors.....especially old folk like us.

An elegant hotel situated in an ideal position to explore this beautiful part of Wales.

We stopped here on a motorcycle tour and so pleased we did. A beautiful period coaching inn situated in a delightful village. The reception and bar staff were excellent especially in accommodating my friends dog (yes, he brought it on his bike). The rooms were fantastic, beautifully furnished, smartly decorated and generously proportioned.

Was kept awake till closing by people talking outside, but that was because it was a very hot night so had the window open. Very light sleeper

The stay was perfect for us. Staff worked very hard to see to all the guests.

A Quiet and cozy atmosphere with great local knowledge of the area, very helpful. Loved the food in the evening and the breakfast was beautiful. Big portions and very tasty. My little girl doesn’t eat very well and the lovely staff made sure she had a full belly in the morning as they gave her a selection of food on the table. Nothing was too much bother for them. Very kind.

We instantly felt at home, great location, lovely big spacious family room, everything was spotless, Great selection of drinks, food menu was good, We had a comfortable quiet nights sleep, Staff are welcoming and attentive, nothing was to much trouble, it’s refreshing to find such a great team backing this hotel, We would love to come back soon.

The room was dirty scruffy. Very small. in need of painting. Dirty stains all over walls. Very overpriced for the standard and cleanliness of accommodation. Very small room. A lot of flies in dining room while eating our evening meal and eating our breakfast. Not very hygienic.

The windows did not open and contributed to a very stuffy atmosphere in the room - admittedly during a very warm spell of weather.
