friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed, spacious room. Loved that they give you fresh cold milk in a thermos each night for your tea / cofffe in the morning.
Car park is very small ... we never managed to get in it. But there's a large public car park not far away which didn't charge overnight. Just a short walk with luggage.

Lovely food, great breakfast.
super comfortable bed.
Great location right in the middle of town.
Very quiet at night.
Easy check in and parking which is at a premium in Dolgallau
Very friendly and accommodating staff
We had a lovely time, we'll be back.
I wasn't sure about the small flask of milk that was handed to us at check in? For tea in the morning i assume, but i didn't trust it to stay healthy from 3pm until the next morning so I didn't use it.
Also our hot water plumbing was a little noisy, i hope we didn't wake anyone 😬

Great pub, great food, friendly staff. Very dog friendly! Nice breakfast the next morning.
Unfortunately while the room was nicely decorated, it was dirty, there was mould in the shower and window sills, the floors weren’t clean and there was thick dust on the headboard, lamps and elsewhere in the room. It could do with a coat of paint - tea and coffee splashes up the walls and marks elsewhere. A shame because everything else about the stay was great.

Our room was cosy, the food was good. Location great for being near the beaches.
I felt sorry for the staff as there was a wedding on and they seemed to be struggling with that and normal service.

Excellent location in the centre of Dolgellau with a great breakfast. We stayed in a dog friendly room - we had our dog with us - and i suspect these rooms are a little more practical i.e. hard floors rather than carpet etc. Taking a pooch also restricts your access to the full bar and restaurant, but this is absolutely in line with my expectation.
The water pressure isn't great, and the shower was defintiely on the gentle side - the rain outside was falling harder! The room wasnt perfectly clean - dusty floor etc - but then neither were we when we arrived back from a muddy mountain.

This pub/hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. Location facilities value for money just superb. From the time we arrived(early) to the time we left John the Manager could just not do enough for us. We were three guys on a road trip just looking for a bed, what we got was excetional mainly in the way were looked after. You cannot buy that sort of support these days and I spend most of my time in 4/5 star fancy hotels.
Having to leave was the worst part of our stay

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcomed and that continued throughout our 2 night stay. We were given the disability room as requested which was lovely and clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had - compliments to the chef! We had an evening meal during our stay and the fish and chips was delicious.
Situation of the hotel was central to the town and parking was relatively easy.
Plenty of choice of drinks in the bar.

Good menu, cheerful, friendly staff. Very tasty good and plenty of it. The manager,John, was extremely helpful to us. We arrived on the wrong day but he sorted everything out with a smile !!.
Reading lights in the bar area would help when the weather kept guests indoors.....especially old folk like us.

We stopped here on a motorcycle tour and so pleased we did. A beautiful period coaching inn situated in a delightful village. The reception and bar staff were excellent especially in accommodating my friends dog (yes, he brought it on his bike). The rooms were fantastic, beautifully furnished, smartly decorated and generously proportioned.
There is nothing not to like.

A Quiet and cozy atmosphere with great local knowledge of the area, very helpful. Loved the food in the evening and the breakfast was beautiful. Big portions and very tasty. My little girl doesn’t eat very well and the lovely staff made sure she had a full belly in the morning as they gave her a selection of food on the table. Nothing was too much bother for them. Very kind.

Beautiful old coaching inn. Lots of character. Everything you would expect of a country pub. Great central location. Dog friendly. Very friendly staff.
Our room could have been a bit cleaner and it all needed a good lick of paint. The dog friendly social area wasn’t nearly as nice as the dining/lounge area.

Everything. Even the weather was lovely. Room was lovely, beer lovely, breakfast very good. I did not have evening meal there.
I liked everything.
