Hostel Kobarid

Clean and brand new. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely outside areas to sit. Air conditioned. Great location

Having to pay €5 to store luggage for an hour before check in. Was too hot to carry them around with us while we waited

Lovely fresh clean hostel, excellent well equiped kitchen with a few freebies a bonus, donation for coffee/tea. 4 bunk mixed dorm, very spacious, amazing big area, no cramping too many bunks into this space. White bed linen, comfy bed, each bed with space under bunk and a locker. Seperate toilets mixed with 3 showers for females. Beautiful green terraced garden with lovely seating to relax and enjoy. Modern decor was a pleasant surprise for a hostel, one of the best I have stayed in.

Shower area was a little cramped with not a lot of privacy or ventilation along with nowhere to place your clothes.

The location is great and it has everything one would need. Great price/quality ratio. It was also easy to store my bike safely.

There was no in person check in and passport had to be uploaded or sent via messaging. Not the most secure way to transfer sensitive information. Reception was unstaffed the entire time. Had to message back and forth with the owner to turn on the air conditioner even when it was still hot in August. There was no control of the AC in the room, had to WhatsApp them. They said that it was “cool” in August so refused to turn on the AC and asked for the windows to be opened instead. Only after multiple people in the room asked did they relent. Would not say that this qualifies as “premium” as the name suggests. I think 5/10 is fair and not overly harsh.
