Hostel Kobarid

Excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. Good air conditioning and clothes drying on racks outside. Rememberer there is eight people in each bedroom. But it works well with a privacy curtain over your bunk and a big lock box for each person. (Even for 70 year old hikers,) There was good discipline regarding the 10pm noise shutdown. We enjoyed our cheap overnight stay

Facilities and self check-in processes are well organized.

Very overpriced for dorm style multiple beds in a room. But then again, all accommodations in Kobarid were overpriced, so this was our only option.

Clean and brand new. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely outside areas to sit. Air conditioned. Great location

Having to pay €5 to store luggage for an hour before check in. Was too hot to carry them around with us while we waited

There was no in person check in and passport had to be uploaded or sent via messaging. Not the most secure way to transfer sensitive information. Reception was unstaffed the entire time. Had to message back and forth with the owner to turn on the air conditioner even when it was still hot in August. There was no control of the AC in the room, had to WhatsApp them. They said that it was “cool” in August so refused to turn on the AC and asked for the windows to be opened instead. Only after multiple people in the room asked did they relent. Would not say that this qualifies as “premium” as the name suggests. I think 5/10 is fair and not overly harsh.
