The perfect place to stay in Kobarid

This is the best hostel I ever stayed at, twice! The host Anna is super friendly and helpful, as well before and after, as during our stay. The facilities are super good. A big kitchen where we cooked a lovely breakfast, clean and big bathrooms and toilets, and very spacious dormrooms. Every bed had his own curtain for privacy, lockers are included, and every bunk has a light and powerplug to charge your devises. And last but not least, the outside areas are very beautiful. You have multiple terraces that look over Kobarid and into the valley with an amazing sunset. I will be coming back to this place many times again in the future.

Lots of hassle and trouble for simple requests.

There was no in person check in and passport had to be uploaded or sent via messaging. Not the most secure way to transfer sensitive information. Reception was unstaffed the entire time. Had to message back and forth with the owner to turn on the air conditioner even when it was still hot in August. There was no control of the AC in the room, had to WhatsApp them. They said that it was “cool” in August so refused to turn on the AC and asked for the windows to be opened instead. Only after multiple people in the room asked did they relent. Would not say that this qualifies as “premium” as the name suggests. I think 5/10 is fair and not overly harsh.

Very nice hostel, super modern, clean, perfect location, good facilities, beautiful terrace.

There was an air conditioner in the room but we couldn’t use it at night, because supposedly the staff turns it off at night. It got super hot then,

Amazing gem, this is what all hostels could aspire to

Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, quaint outdoor spaces and well equipped kitchen. Bed spaces are private and have good facilities with lovely sheets and good storage. Bathroom was clean and very well set up. Great. Kitchen, plenty of space, clean and well equipped. Relaxation space, plenty of small spaces to relax, inside and outside. Love the terraces amazing work by the team to get these back to their former glory. And the pull up bar in the common area amazing too. Thank you team for a fabulous maintained space.

Dream Hostel Stay

Everything! Super clean, recently renovated so it looks fresh and modern, location, and thoughtful design touches (privacy curtains, individual toilet rooms, women’s and men’s showers, washer and dryer available). There is a full, well stocked kitchen and your choice of several nice outdoor areas.

Went in holiday season so was impossible to get food. Lucky we brought some pizza from Tolmin. A presence of a small soap/shower gel could make this accomodation 11/10 still worth it.

Simply wonderful!

On my motorcycle travel I was looking for an accommodation and found this Hostel in Kobarid. Anna and Yaro, the owner of the Hostel, are two wonderful, friendly people! It’s noticeable how much work and love they put into this place. All rooms are very clean and in the kitchen you can use coffee, tea and basics for cooking. The absolute highlight of this place is the garden. There’s a cozy corner with chairs and hammocks and a few levels upstairs in the garden you can watch the whole valley of Kobarid. Just beautiful! I recommend this Hostel a 100%! Thank you very much Anna & Yaro :)

Affordable clean accommodation in the middle of Triglav.

Very clean, a great garden terrasse and enough space for cooking and preparing. I was there in summer so the AC is a big plus. I spilled whole bottle of water accidentally over my bed, but the staff didn’t hesitate and arranged for a new bedding. Really great!

Not really a social vibe and quite strict rules for cleaning your stuff.

Superb

It's a beautiful place that's laid out really well. The kitchen is huge, there's a terraced garden and hammock chairs outside to sit in.

The walls are thin. I could hear every word in the room next door. Parking is not on site. If it were raining that might suck a bit.

Perfect hostel in Kobarid

Location is great, hostel is superbly clean and facilities are also great. To such an extent it felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Kitchen is very well equipped. Staff is very kind but not always on site.

Only minor thing is the road in front.

Weird rule that sais that you need to get out of the hostel after check out at 10. I've never seen that, even in big hotels you can stay ans use the facilities after check out, in case you have to catch a bus or flight later.

No recommendation for dinner from the staff except one 30min drive away... :( shloud know a little bit more about the area..I actually found a popular one just 100m away from the hostel

We had an amazing stay at Kobarid Hostel. So far, it’s the quietest, cleanest and cutest hosted I’ve visited. It has everything we could ask for and our hosts have been lovely. Also, the guests were super respectful and quiet as everyone is here to visit the National Park and is quite exhausted after a long day of walking/climbing/biking. We definitely recommend it :-)

Peace of mind

I rarely post feedbacks for hostels which are mostly okay and comfortable but Hostel Kobarid is exceptional in all ways. Lovely couple owns the place and does the best for comfort and atmosphere that the place has soul and peace in its center. Kobarid is already an amazing place and here you have the best view over the town and the valley with its 5 story backyard garden, plants and flowers all around ( 5th one was being prepared during my stay, hopefully enjoy next time :)) and a cat, I guess Siberian. )) Kobarid is a small town and the hostel is close to all places, where you can visit mighty Soča and it's surroundings. Super clean for sure and well designed for comfort. You can cook in that amazing large kitchen if you like. I stayed all around Slovenia during my trips and I fell for this one in Kobarid, the view and comfort will surely give you peace of mind and relief if that is what you are looking for. I remember they also have paragliding business as well which I could not enjoy due to time limitation but extreme nature sport is highly recommended. Stop by and enjoy view and calm. Best regards to Anna. For sure I will come again.
