An experience, but we would not recommend

The hostel is very dated and needs repairs on the showers and toilets. Rooms were fine and utilitarian and kitchen was fine. The staff were friendly but having the bar below presented some problems.

We had a private room but had some other people trying to get into our room during the late evening around 1am. The experience was okay for me but the females on our trip felt the place was seedy and a little unsafe

AVOID!! AVOID!!!!!

The name, it feels ironic to label hell in earth as PARADISO. The owner was friendly and nice though. He apologised for the check in problem.

Waiting for 30 mins at reception to check in, having to pass through the mixed dormitory bunk beds to go to my private room which barely could fit a tiny double bed and a little closet. Definitely claustrophobia material. 2 bathrooms for 2 privat rooms + 10 people from the mixed bunk bed room. Towels were tiny, hand towels were handed instead of normal ones. The walls were paper thin and we could listen to people snoring in the other room like they were on our ears. And by the way, they advertise to have free parking and it is a public parking lot 500m from there.

I was sorry I had only one day

The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good , clean sheets and good location , there is a television you can enjoy at the evening, I wild go there again next time for sure 👍

Very comfortable and relaxing

Huge and spacious! Common room was extremely comfortable and cozy and had movies and books. Kitchen was pleasant and clean. Bar downstairs made for a fun atmosphere. Bed was super comfy!

Fantastic value in a prime location

The price and location were great, and the room was adequate to our needs.

The private rooms walls were bare plywood, making it feel like we were sleeping in a crate. The wifi signal was effectively nonexistent in the private room, but worked in the common areas.

Easy check in and friendly reception staff. Good value for money, well stocked kitchen with utensils. Warm, spacious common area. Somewhere for us to store our bikes.

The place had good facilities (but no oven) and was clean, all the staff were friendly and very helpful and the location is perfect

Beds were slightly uncomfortable and the door to the place is left open so anyone could walk in to the 12 bed dorm (not the others) and take ur stuff

Great member of staff behind the bar, really helpful chatting to us about the walking route we were doing and recommending restaurants

The dorm beds were ok but there was no door separating the dorm from the main corridor which was slightly odd. There were a lot of beds in the dorm but we were the only ones sleeping in there (was great to have the space, don’t get me wrong) but there was a double private room that could only be accessed through the dorm which was a bit weird

Good location and friendly staff

Beautiful location, everything is close by. Our flight was delayed and the staff were kind enough to give us an alternative later check in, after a stressful evening it was nice to be met with a friendly face.

very hot and crowded room which was basically a corridor full of bunk beds, air con was noisy and ineffective, as it wasn’t a separate dorm room the light would go on and off, there was no curtains on the hideous stained glass windows, it didn’t feel clean (the notice said it was only cleaned once a week), bathrooms were unclean and flooded with water and had very poor lighting - one of them also had a broken lock on the door. we had a horrible time at the hostel and were glad to leave.

the staff at reception were so friendly and helpful! in addition the dorm rooms are very nice and there’s a good view of the mountains from the communal area

i believe that there were only two showers on the property, so at peak shower times it’s a bit of a hassle

Great location, but killing temperature

The location is perfect for in Tolmin. Everything is easily reachable and perfect connection for going with busses.

The hostel room was a sauna. There might be an AC, but even with an outside temp of 28 it cant manage it. Which made sleeping quite difficult with a room that was about 30°C. My bed didnt have a plug that could be used, with the risk of another bunk hitting the cable in the night. The beds are also quite bad, since I woke up with a soar back.

At least drinks were cheap

The room has not even had doors. It was a walk through for two other rooms. The room was also crowded with beds. Space between beds was so small you had problems to climb to the upper bed. Windows wouldn't open, just a very small ac, which didn't affect at all. Bathrooms not clean

The room was hot, there was no air conditioning. The lady in charge was obnoxiously rude because I was late for check out. That’s no way to treat a guest.

Kitchen facilities, common place was nice, flexible with late checkout

* Double room door opens from the 8-bed room dormitory., don't book that! Complained to staff about it but they didn't care. * 1 shower together with toilett for 24 beds... * shutters were not working on the window * no trash bin in the 6-bed family room * no table/desk/nightstand in the room

The accommodation was fine

I liked the location, the staff, the kitchen is nice and with everything you need, the living room is air-conditioned and has a nice view of the center, there is a bar downstairs for drinks and coffee, it also has ice cream, I recommend it.

More toilets needed,too many people for only two bathrooms and two toilets at the entrance,we managed this is just a suggestion.
