Hostel Soca really rocks!

I already stayed a few times here, and every time, I truly enjoyed my stay. The rooms and facilities are well maintained and the staff is super friendly. There are multiple kitchens to make your own food, but there are also some restaurants close by and a supermarket around the corner.. They offer loads of activities to do in the area. And last but not least, amazing coffee in the morning. Hostel Soca really rocks!

Cheap hostel

It was cheap(about 25e per night). Hostel is quite close to the bus station.

It was quite overcrowded. The rooms were tiny and were fully packed in July. The layout of the hostel isn't convenient. The kitchen has no tables, the hall with a bar is closed at night and morning, so there is no option to have an early breakfast. The staff forgot to charge the city tax. It's good I have an eu card and paying those 4 euros was commission free, but the hassle with invoice and even no thank you or sorry for inconvenience from the hostel is saying a lot about the place.

Great spot for outdoor activity

Good location, lots of activities you could book through the hostel. Really good social space and very easy to meet people. Outdoor kitchen was a really nice touch too.

Would have liked curtains on the beds for more privacy, only 6 loos in the building.

Quiet, lovely and clean hostel in Bovec within walking distance from the centre of Bovec.

Very clean, helpful staff, and a great location. I would definitely stay here again. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped, plenty of room in the fridges and cabinets to store your food. There is a big lounge area with a bar and a lovely terrace with another outdoor kitchen if it gets too busy in the kitchen indoors. It's a quiet place and the bar and common area close at 10 pm, which means you can get a good night's sleep without any noise to be ready for your activities the next day. A few steps away from the centre of Bovec, shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking spaces.

Decent rooms with a good lounge, but be prepared for advertisements of their tours non-stop

Lots of lounge space both inside and outside. There are a decent number of cooking areas considering the volume of guests, but cooking can be a bit hectic during mealtimes. The 6-bed dorm was fine for a hostel, but was pretty hot without air conditioning. It's nice that there is a bar/cafe on site for convenience. It's also a fairly short walk into town for some restaurants.

It seems like this is more of a tour agency with rooms attached. Sitting in the lounge area, we were surrounded by two televisions showing videos of the tours they organize, and all the pictures hanging in the hostel are of tours that they run. Also, some of the staff was a bit standoffish, maybe because we didn't book a tour with them.

Incredibly well situated hostel with great amenities and friendly staff

We loved the fact there were two kitchens at this hostel, staff were exception. Great bar and common sitting area inside and outside. Great bathroom facilities and close to bedrooms.

The only thing we picked up on was that 6 beds for the size of the bedroom seemed a bit much and a bit tight for your own space.

Great value choice for short stays in the area for adventure sports

Great location, clean toilets, big spacious bar with inside and outside seating. Rooms and common spaces were clean and comfy.

Small double rooms were extremely basic, small kitchen for the whole hostel, not much drink choice behind the bar outside of beer and cider, no food options at all.

Small and stuffy rooms, avoid if you are after a good nights sleep.

Location was good. Reasonably clean bathrooms.

6 bed room is too cramped and lacked any ventilation. The first night it was just three of us and in the morning there was no air at all in the morning. The secind night we left window open, so the oxygen situation improved, but the room is facing the road, so it was very noisy and fume from people smoking was comming inside. Our room didn’t have a balcony either. Common area felt more like a local bar and less like a hostel vommunity.

Adventure Hostel 😎

Soca Rocks is the place to be. Hostel was clean, sociable, and very well connected for outdoor activities. I arrived at 2030, and had no issues setting up kayaking through the hostel for the next morning. Free parking, and a decent bakery only a 4 minute walk away.

A hostel like hostels should be

This hostel is exactly how hostels should be: a nice common area for socializing, but good sound proofing of the rooms from the noise from the community area. Two kitchens with fridges. Lots of outdoor sports opportunities close by. Laundry lines outside for drying your clothes.

Just a recommendation: shower gel dispensers for the showers would be great.

cheap accommodation, just for the night

If you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night, this is your place. It is a hostel with shared rooms: if you are lucky and have nice roommates, you can have a very pleasant stay having good conversations.

Everything closes very soon: there are no common areas to sit comfortably sharing experiences with colleagues. The staff have no idea about anything: they are not able to give basic information (bus schedules, info and description of activities) in a very small town totally dedicated to tourism.

Disappointing

The cleaning of toilet and Bathrooms were very bad. in two days no cleaning. we had to ask for toiletpaper. in the kitchen no detergents, no clean ans fresh towls. a little bit disgusting.

Great hub to explore the area

We stayed in a private room with a balcony which was amazing, not huge but decent size and shared bathroom (always clean). The hostel is located really central which is great - very close to bus stop. The actual hostel is very clean, the main area is also a bar open to the public but didnt get too busy. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use with lots of fridge space. We booked activities via reception which was handy - cash only! Staff were nice and friendly enough.

The hostel is also a bar so you cannot drink your own alcoholic drinks in the main chilling areas - however they were fairly priced.

Great location in Bovec. Amazing hosts share great energy (shoutout to Živa :) ) and it’s a lot of fun to stay there. Has a great bar to have a drink and chats with other travellers. Nice and quiet dormitories with all amenities and a big kitchen for you to use too. Would definitely stay again!

That is perfect place in the perfect town. I suggest you to try their adventures. Staff is passionate about their job. It looked like they aren't even doing business or working (if you know what I mean) it felt like they are just a family group, having fun and creating warm and fun environment for everybody to enjoy! It so comfy and clean, people are lovely and helpfull. Love this place! ❤️ And love this town! ❤️ Won't forget it and already wish I could go back... 😌

Definitely worth a visit to this town and hostel, friendly staff and great vibes

This place was fab. Friendly, great staff, good vibes and social area, the town is gorgeous with an incredible backdrop of mountains. Heaps to see and do around here. I would recommend a car but lots to do without one too. I would definitely come back. Thank you.

The guy who was the loudest snorer ever staying in kayak room. I know it is a hostel but it literally kept the whole room awake for three nights, one girl even checked out early as she was so annoyed…. Nothing bad to say about the hostel though, everything else was awesome.
