Hostel, Rooms and Apartment Ceklin

The location was great and helped by the complimentary bike hire, it was easy to get into Bohinj. The property was very clean and the staff were generally friendly. We explored the surrounding area, including Bled (very accessible from Bohinj), everyday and therefore did not spend much time in the apartment other than to sleep and shower and change for dinner. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for someone wanting to spend more time in the apartment. Although it had cooking facilities we didn’t use, a fridge in the room and a hairdryer.

The property was quite noisy, we could hear a lot from other rooms and the house attached to the hostel / hotel. I appreciate that it was also a hostel and we were in a private room.

Great location. Lovely host. Ability to cool meals a plus. Lots of fridge space. Lots to do in surrounding areas. Rooms functional but not luxurious.

Kitchen in need of a refresh of utensils and cookware. Shared bathroom was tight space, but manageable.

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was beautiful and very clean and comfortable, with a lovely private balcony and amazing views. The kitchen was well equipped and kept constantly clean, and the hosts were incredibly generous with keeping it well-stocked with breakfast items and eggs, as well as a cupboard full of other food guests were welcome to use. The toilet and shower were also both immaculate. We made good use of the free bikes, which were also in great condition! We felt right at home :)

I have used booking.com for several years and found the reviews to be realistic and helpful. If a place has an average around 9 I have always had a great experience. This is the first time I have been disappointed. The location is great and having a kitchen helpful, but there were a number of small issues which collectively lead to a sub optimal overall experience

If I was back in my 20s and paying half the price this place would have been fine. However relative to other places we have stayed at in Slovenia for the same price, the overall experience was well below expectations.
