Colleen is an amazing host. She took me to the doctors when I was sick and was always around to make sure everyone and everything was ok. The place is in a great location just a short walk from the main bus stop and the lake. Everything was very clean and the rooms were comfortable with curtains which were great.
The kitchen got a bit crowded at peak meal time but I just cooked my food in advance to avoid chaos so it was ok!

Colleen is a LEGEND! Super helpful and accommodating, tries to make everyone feel welcome and at home. The beds offer a nice privacy curtain and beds are quite comfortable. Easy to meet other travelers in a chill and social environment.

Traveller’s Haven Hostel, home of squeaky beds, shower roulette, and the unstoppable force that is Coleen from Manchester.
Rooms are cosy enough to test your Tetris skills, and the showers are few but character-building. Not luxury, but a true backpacker experience in beautiful Bled.

The vibe of the place was just amazing. Colleen has created such a comfortable, homely environment where everyone can feel welcome and at ease. It felt more like being in a share house than a touristy hostel. Everything was kept nice and clean, we were welcome to towels and fresh linens, and there was free food in the kitchen, which was also really well-equipped. Definitely one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. Not to mention Bled is absolutely gorgeous and full of fun things to do!

Great little place in Bled, perfect to base yourself for exploring the area. We wish we could have stayed longer (had to go back to work). Colleen was friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The ac was lovely and cold and the bed was comfortable. Easy to find and in a good location!

The host is no nonsense but very kind and funny. The lounge and balcony space is a nice place to socialise. There is plenty of bathroom space. Everything is kept clean.
The kitchen is on the small side for the number of guests, but you can make do :)

Colleen provided a warm welcome and the whole place was very communal and cosy. Common room and kitchen were a bit on the small side, but it was a very friendly place and easy to meet people. Colleen was a great resource for recommendations. I was only staying one night but wish I could have stayed on. Communal balcony, book shelf, pasta, and free food shelf were also appreciated! Showers were excellent. Great location near the bus station and restaurants. Pretty good value for money!
Would have been nice to have privacy curtains for upper bunks :)

The location was good. The owner was friendly and regularly around the hostel.
The checkin process was difficult as you had to call a number to be let in. Being international travellers, we were unable to call the phone number and were locked outside. We ended up having to walk around and ask to use someone else’s phone. The whole hostel was filthy including dorms, kitchen, and bathrooms. The floors in the dorms were dirty and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for several days. The kitchen always had dirty tables, cloths, and benches. The showers were dirty and had no lock on the door, one was just a shower curtain. I have stayed in many hostels, and this one was definitely the worst I’ve seen. I expected more for the price I paid, I understand it is an expensive area but this was ridiculous considering the state of the place. Would not recommend.

Colleen and her lovely staff. Had aircon. It was clean. Close to bus stop.
It was a little crowded at peak dinner time in kitchen. But that’s a given.

The hostel has the loveliest vibe, Colleen and other staff members are friendly, happy to help with anything and so enjoyable to have a conversation with. I felt very safe, was given a map with the best points to hit around the lake and generally guided to have a very easy trip.

The owner was cool about me checking in late.
Everything was good for 4 hours of sleep. However, it was mentioned that new sheets would be provided upon arrival for us to use, but I didn't receive any.

I stayed there just for one night. The hostel is good, the room it's OK, but they don't have lockers to store our stuff. The kitchen seemed OK to me. The owners are very kind.
The bathroom for men is just on the 3th floor and bathroom dividers are a little transparent, so, no wait for privacy.

Colleen was the most wonderful host! she made everyone feel so welcome. the place is very clean and comfortable with lots of small dorms. very close to bled castle and the lake and close to a bunch of really nice restaurants. fantastic recommendations of places to hike including a number that you might not find yourself through research alone.
the rooms were a little warm at night but you sleep well after all that hiking!

Location is right in the middle of bled slightly up a hill but no issue. The owner is an absolute gem with a wealth of information and early checkin is available. The facilities meet expectations and above, kitchen although didnt use is awesome and has a nice buzz when there are people in there.
The showers (im pretty particular about) had reasonable pressure and heat, bathrooms clean and available throughout the hostel.
Storage within the rooms is enough for anyone with stuff, beds were comfy and clean and bunks not noisy.
I'd stay here again anyday of the week if i was in bled. Thanks for the awesome stay!
The showers can get slippery, but wear sandals :) overall nothing to say its an awesome hostel!

our host Colleen was very welcoming and very much around so we could ask her anything. we had the place downstairs and it was quite comfortable, plus the hostel is right across the street from a supermarket and a laundromat and very close to the lake.
it was quite noisy, you can basically hear anything that is going on inside the hallways and the kitchen (kitchen thankfully gets closed at 10pm though). also, the (men’s) bathroom doors are hard to close and there‘s not much room inside the bathroom to put stuff when you’re in front of the mirror.

Loved this hostel! Colleen is very friendly and a great host. The bathrooms are very spacious and always clean. Also many windows in the rooms. Very sociable hostel due to common areas and kitchen. Would definitely book again!
Only thing missing is lockers, but I was able to put my valuables at the reception during my stay:)

Host was very helpful. Very near to the bus station. Just next to it is a supermarket. Allowed check-in as soon as I arrived, without any delays.
Showers don't have door locks and doors doesn't close properly. Beds make noise just by turning around.

everything, Colleen was amazing, so friendly and helpful! the showers were the best I’ve ever had in a hostel! kitchen and common area were comfortable and well equipped
no lockers in bedrooms, dorm doors were hard to keep locked as everyone just had a key and most people wouldn’t lock them. otherwise everything else was perfect

Colleen was great! My bus got in at 7am and she left a key out for me so I could get in and use the common spaces. Check in was easy and she was always available for recommendation and help! Really close to the lake and Bled castle as well. Social hostel as well for solo travelers.
