Hostel Cornel

Excellent location, just a few steps from Piata Unirii. The room seems to have been renovated recently, I didn't have any of the issues mentionned in some of the reviews: mattress was firm, bed frame was intact, cleanliness was good overall. Excellent value!

There was some bad smell coming from the drains and there were some spots on the linen (which I presume washing didn't take away, as the linen smell fresh). It's not a classical hostel (dorm-style with some communal areas) but more of a hostal (inexpensive individual rooms). The general feel is somewhat awkward, as some of the rooms are occupied by foreign workers that would sit in front of their rooms, smoke & talk at loud voice. During my stay however it was quiet after 11pm.

Great accommodation near the city center. Excellent value for money!

No holder for the shower faucet

Location is good and the lady at the reception was helpful.

Noise from the restaurant, the door has translucent glass which let the light in and it does not have any curtains which is annoying. Toilet was just near the bed and the shower drain was clogged and the water was everywhere. Hopefully I stayed for one night only
