Cozy and Convenient

The location is wonderful, a short walk from the Citadel or the Grand Place, surrounded by bistros and boulangeries. The facility is comfortable and homey, and it was very nice to have the laundry machine in the flat (once we learned how to use it). The host was very responsive and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The bed is firm but comfortable, and we had no issues with sleeping or with waking up sore. The toilet and shower facilities are very nice - you cannot take these for granted when looking at rooms! Overalls and we loved our room and would definitely stay there again.

The only drawback was lack of air conditioning. A/c would have made the room more comfortable for sleeping on the warmer nights, but we could open the windows wide and turn on the floor fan during the day. We were blessed with good weather during our stay, so this was not a significant issue.

Comfortable and spacious

Lovely spacious apartment, comfortable bed and pillows! It was quiet and we slept really well, apart from when a load of mosquitoes got in one night when it was hot so make sure you leave the windows shut!! There is a fan but no air con. Kitchen facilities were good but there could have been a better selection of teas and coffees, and some basics for cooking such as oil and salt and pepper. Location is great, near lots of restaurants and the old town. About 20 mins walk from the station.

As others have commented, yes the stairs up to the apartment are very tight which would not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. We noticed there is an apartment on the ground, first and second floor so perhaps it would be worth asking for the ground floor if possible. We found the stairs fine but we don't have mobility issues.

Fantastic stay, would highly recommend!

Super friendly team that would answer my questions promptly. Clear instructions on how to get in the property. Very fresh apartment, pleased with it itself and location. Excellent natural light from the windows, heating, great shower -Rituals products!- and lovely comfy bed. Kitchen and fridge great to have to, and same street offers lots of French restaurants (and an excellent kebab place) and a boulangerie to get your fresh breakfast in the morning!

We loved it and would stay here again! As a tip only, to add another throw/blanket to have on the sofa. Sofa wasn't as fresh as rest of furniture in the apartment. There is a wardrobe but would be great to have a hanger or similar by the entrance for the longer cardigans/jackets especially when wet from the rain. Important to specify that there are very steep stairs to get to the upper levels, so if you are mobility reduced you will have to request the ground apartment.

Lovely apartment - fantastic location in old lille. Apartment was well equipped, clean & very responsive re queries. Perfect for exploring Lille. Would stay again if returning to Lille.

Pleasant but with issues

It was clean and comfortable, the bed was good. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped for a short stay. Location was good.

The windows could have done with curtains - preferably blackout curtains - as the blinds let in too much light in the morning (and if the lights were on you could see into the flat even with the blinds down). Or a set of curtains to separate the bedroom from the rest of the space. Although we'd been advised that it was a first floor apartment (which was fine) we didn't realise that the stairs to it were a steep and very tight 'spiral', making it awkward for carrying luggage, and for my partner who walks with a stick.

The location was good. It's not enough to justify the price and the state of the room

The apartment is located in a very old building. The sound proofing is non-existent which means we could have spent the week with our neighbours and share the costs: we heard absolutely everything, from them showering to them coming home at 1am. The price per night is simply ridiculous when you realize you're sitting on a dirty Ikea sofa, or when you're woken up at 6am because there are no blinds in the bedrooms (but there are some in the living room for some reasons). Overall, it's a very expensive stay for not so high-end services.
