Highly recommended good value B&B.

Centrally located between Cancale, St Malo, Mont Saint Michel. Oysters for sale next door, actually everywhere. Good value, good breakfast. Clean, pool but too cold weather to swim. Friendly host who can give extra valuable information on visiting Mont Saint Michel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location and great place to stay when travelling to or from Spain back to St.Malo

A one night stay over so we could catch the ferry from St.Malo Sunday morning. A great location , views of the sea (c.100 metres away) we arrived late afternoon (sadly held up due to accidents on the A10) a warm welcome from the host who helpfully advised on nearby eating establishments for dinner and due to the the time of our ferry brought the usual breakfast sitting forward to ensure we were fed before traveling. La Grande Mare has great facilities and a wonderful outside area with swimming pool , plenty of seating which is a bit of a sun trap late afternoon. It helps if one knows some French , though one of our hosts (apologies did not get his name) spoke good English. Car parking is directly outside and safe as in off road. Breakfast is plentiful and that is an under statement! Fantastic range of breakfast foods for all tastes. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Our hosts provided water without charge which is most welcome. The venue does not serve dinner , there are least 4 restaurants within 5 minutes (max) walking distance. Two are typical French serving restaurants, an Italian and Crepe House ( recommended but one needs to book at weekends/summer) Overall, a great place to stay , friendly hosts , lovely location and everything around you to have a great time. Would definitely stay here again.

A great place and location, would almost keep it to myself ;-)

It was a last-minute booking and the host worked with it very gracefully. The view from the breakfast area on the very well-kept garden and the swimming pool was a delight. As was the room, the abundant breakfast, and the area. Did some great cycling along the coast on a bicycle path separated from the road.

Sebastian is the best host ever met! Room was very clean, breakfast - all is needed, the pool in the garden! He recommended to visit couple smalll towns and we were surprised to find such a beauty places. Recommend 100 %.

Superb

We had an excellent one-night stay in La Grande Mare. Our 3-bed room was spacious and nicely decorated (our double bed was shaped like a boat). The hosts were very welcoming. Our 7 year old daughter loved the big garden, the swimming pool, as well as the small dog and the turtles roaming around the garden freely. The breakfast was wonderful, with a good choice of fresh products (a pleasant surprise after the standard croissant-confiture breakfast in previous places). La Grande Mare is conveniently located on the main road with a free view over the bay. Right next door is a see food shop with fresh oysters. Parking was hassle-free, on-site and free.

Fabuleux et dépaysant

Emplacement idéal entre St Malo, Cancale et le Mont St Michel. Très joli lieu chaleureux face a la mer. Accueil très appréciable. Petit déjeuné qualité et extrêmement copieux. Les chiens sont les bienvenus et c’est à noter. Je recommande fortement ! Bravo aux hôtes !

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben die Unterkunft für zwei Nächte als Ausgangspunkt für Saint Malo, Dinard und Dinan gebucht. Fenster des Zimmers zur Straße, aber zu dieser Jahreszeit kein Bedarf um bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Darum, kein Verkehrslärm als störend empfunden. Im Hochsommer vielleicht etwas anderes. Zimmer für zwei Personen auch für drei oder vier Tage ausreichend. Gutes WLAN, privater Parkplatz auf dem Hof vor der Unterkunft. Sogar ein Swimmingpool steht zur Verfügung. Frühstück gut, völlig ausreichend.

bellissima posizione a pochi metri dal mare e dalle bellissime maree che caratterizzano questa zona, Camera spaziosa e arredata in modo originale, molto pulita e dotata di ogni confort. Bagno grande e doccia ampia. Colazione varia, a pochi minuti da ristoranti e pescherie dove gustare ostriche e ottimo pesce, ben collegato anche con mont saint michel, saint malò, dinard...proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili a fornire informazioni e consigli
