Aleksandra ist eine ausgesprochen aufmerksame und super freundliche Vermieterin, die jederzeit gern Rückfragen beantwortet. Die Wohnung hat einen tollen Ausblick auf den Ohrid-See und ist wunderbar von Grün umgeben. Man erreicht sie von der Straße aus über 30 Stufen.

Einziges Manko, das man wissen muss: Die Altstadt ist nur schwer mit dem PKW zu erreichen (aber möglich). Parken ist in der Nähe des Hauses schwierig. Der Privatparkplatz für das Apartment liegt 800 Meter entfernt am Oberen Tor. Aber beim Gepäck ist Aleksandras Vater behilflich.

Lake view, a few steps to the center and yet in a quiet area

This place was honestly a highlight of our trip. Sitting on the beautiful terrace or the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine, overlooking Lake Ohrid, never got old – the view is simply stunning. The apartment itself is bright, clean and feels very welcoming. What we really loved is the location: right at the edge of the old town. You’re close enough to walk everywhere within minutes, but still far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Just a few steps away, there’s that iconic cliffside church – Church of St. John at Kaneo – one of the best sunset spots you can imagine. Being able to walk there in a minute and catch the sunset every evening felt pretty special. Aleksandra, our host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. She lives in a nearby house, so she was always easy to reach if needed, while we still had complete privacy in the apartment. She also organized everything perfectly, including the airport pickup, which made arrival completely stress-free. And a huge plus: having a parking spot right at the entrance of the old town. If you’ve seen those narrow streets, you’ll understand why that’s priceless. We’d come back without hesitation.
