We spent one night at La Minaudière 62. The check-in time is a little bit on the late side (5.30pm) but this slight inconvenience is totally forgotten given the extraordinary quality of the welcome one receives when the door opens. The host is SUPERB, his sense of hospitality absolutely outstanding. Jacques, you deserve the PERFECT score for your beautiful French touch, your generous smile and your kindness!
The home is charming; the guest room is truly nice, with plenty of style. It is spacious, spotless clean and comfortable with a very comfy bed, a delightful sitting area, and a bright and clean bathroom equipped with a wide variety of amenities (what a choice!). WiFi is strong. A nice and appreciated plus: we could park our car inside the the property.
Continental breakfast is served in the kitchen, all fresh and beautifully served.
There are a few good restaurant options within walking distance or within a short drive. All in all, this was a most pleasant experience! MERCI Jacques; it was raining outside on the day we left Boulogne, but there was plenty of sunshine inside your home! There is no doubt that we will be back next time we visit Boulogne Sur Mer.

Quintessentially french. The host was superb even running us to a local garage a couple of times after we had trouble with our classic car.
Perfect location with amenities within walking distance. We will come again.

Jacques is a kind and thoughtful host ! Homemade breakfast is yummy.
Check in only available between 17h30 and 19h. For someone above 1m90, the bed is too short ;)

The property was in a nice area about 5 miles from Boulogne town centre. It is charming and comfortable. Breakfasts were good with fresh baked patisseries both mornings. The bed was comfortable. Off road parking. The owner is very caring, he wanted to make sure we were comfortable. He also gave us a small bottle of Prosecco on arrival and homemade jam in our departure, a lovely touch.
The shower water was not hot but water from the sink was hot.

Staying with Jacques was lovely. From the moment you arrived to the moment you left he made you feel special. The room itself was wonderful with a large bedroom, a parlour with tea and coffee making provided along with wine, cider and soft drinks. The bathroom catered for your every need with a large shower and bathrobes all for your use. It also had a lovely view to the garden. Jacques then arrived to our room with champagne glasses and a mini bottle of fizz on ice and some warm nibbles on a silver tray. The room was beautiful as was the house if a little quirky. There were shutters on the windows so you could get a decent nights sleep and the breakfast was wonderful, orange juice squeezed by Jacques, croissants, Pain au chocolate, morbiere cheese, fresh bread, salted butter (always welcome) homemade preserves, yoghurts, fresh fruits and homemade hot chocolate presented in a silver pot. It was delightful. We left and as a parting gift a little pot of preserves, so kind. As you are his only guest you are well taken care of and I will certainly recommend this gem to others.
The bed suited us but it did have a base at the foot so my husband who is 6ft had to bend a little, it probably would not suit anyone much over 6ft. That aside the room was a delight.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and Jacques was a perfect host. The beautiful old family home was full of French antiquities with a great ambiance. The Pompidou suite had everything we needed for a great stay and we enjoyed the complementary glass of fizz. The house was ideally located for sightseeing from Calais to Le Touquet. We left with a jar of Jacques' amazing jam and would definitely return if back in the area.

Jacques the proprieteur, is a lovely man, everything was perfect including some lovely gifts that surprised us. The house is historic and has lovely antique furnishings. Breakfast was provided for us early at 8.30am, when it is usually 9.00am. We needed to get on the road and to the Eurotunnel on our way back to GB. We stayed wit6h Jacques on arrival in France and then on our return 12 days later.
All good

This was our second stay at La Minaudiere. Our first stay was excellent and much enjoyed the second was ivery much in keeping with the first. From a welcome drink in the garden to a superb continental breakfast our visit was a delight. We made our plans for this holiday around a first night at La Minaudiere. Our host, Jacques, again could not have been more helpful and hospitable. He booked an evening meal for us in Boulogne which was much enjoyed. We would hope to be able to stay another time

Jacques was the perfect host. The house had a really lovely welcoming feel to it.
Breakfast was lovely. Jacques booked me a table opposite for dinner, which was a friendly restaurant with excellent food and service.
The only slight negative was the location... it is on a fairly main road and was a little noisy at night.
I liked everything. It couldn't have been better.

A beautifully restored house with traditional French decor. A perfect host who made us feel very welcome with a free glass of bubbly and a comprehensive breakfast.
Everything was good quality; breakfast, bathroom supplies including bath robe and slippers. A lovely garden for evening drinks and a house cat all made the stay more enjoyable.

Jacques was a fabulous host. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was lovely, very clean and quiet. The property was very accessible and easy to find with a great brasserie just over the road. We had a delicious breakfast and left with a gift of home made apricot jam. Will definitely visit again when using the Eurotunnel crossing.

Very kind reception by the host, with a nice welcome drink that we could enjoy in the garden. Extremely friendly and helpful with tips and insights about the region and a list with nice recommendations of restaurants in the area. Large room and a nice breakfast. Very close to Bolougne-sur-Mer. There is a large forest around the corner.

We were received most friendly by the lovely host Jaques, who made us feel very welcome. We were sad our french wasnt any better though, which made it hard to go into depth for conversation.
The room, the house and the garden were gorgeous and perfect in style. Also everything was very clean.

Lovely French house, full of character and very comfy bed. the host had thought of everything. Not for you if you are a minimalist as it has lots of nick nacks. Host is charming but has limited English.
It is on quite a busy and noisy road which meant our stay wasn’t quite perfect. worth being aware there are cats in case of allergies.

Exquisite 18th (?) century furniture, decorations, ornaments etc in a gracious high-ceiling etc house. The proprietor is charming. Breakfast was served at a table decorated with flowers and candles with stylish repro cutlery. There were home made jams, fruit, croissants, pain au chocolates, yoghurt and tea, coffee or chocolate to drink.
Monsieur Jacques couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. He gave us a beautifully-presented little jar of home made jam as we left.

Our host Jacques did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as it could be. That he succeeded was an achievement. This included booking us an evening meal in Boulogne on a Sunday evening.
We are seasoned travellers to France and in our later years. We much appreciated the decor of La Minaudière. The breakfast was traditionally French but beautifully garnished and presented.
We chose the location because it provided a good intermediate stop on our journey further into France.
If the occasion arises to visit again we will be delighted to do so.

What an amazing find! Monsieur Jacques is the perfect host, so kind, so friendly and with a great sense of humour. We were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and given helpful advice on local places to eat and see. The bedroom was spacious, spotless, beautifully furnished like the rest of this lovingly restored house. The bathroom has a big shower, a wide range of toiletries, even bathrobes and slippers. There is also a cosy antechamber. Breakfast was superb, so varied and plentiful: delicious bread and viennoiseries, fresh fruit, cheese, yogurts, homemade jams...Very good location to visit the area, quiet and with a nice back garden. Must not forget to mention our leaving gift! Monsieur Jacques, merci encore une fois de votre accueil si chaleureux. On reviendra!
Nothing! A pity we could not stay longer!
