The location was great anda great vantage point as it was close to all the facilities .the hostess is perfect so helpful. Picked me up from the station and dropped me back too as I have a back issue ! Such a memorable stay!

There was no washing machine:( Although there is a laundry but as a traveller , when you get back after a long day of visits, it would be more convenient to wash up at home .

Great home away from home if it's not too hot, longer walk from station than I thought

Great central location close to everything (except the station), comfy bed and pillows, kitchen small but had everything I needed, great to have the smart TV so I could watch English shows on Netflix and Youtube, lake view if you leaned out the bedroom window and looked down the alley to the shore. Really nice to have a home to come back to, particularly when it was throwing down with rain I didn't have to go out for supper. Fridge is a good size, gas cooker worked well (I only used the hobs), there is a hob kettle for making tea and a microwave. The kitchen equipment all appeared to be fairly new and in good condition.

Much longer walk from station than expected, mostly uphill. I wasn't met as I was originally coming in after 5pm on a Sunday, photo instructions were good but only once I found the flat which was difficult as the alley doesn't appear to be signposted and Google maps couldn't find the specified 'Hotel di Sole' (it's actually called Albergo di Sole) so I went around in circles for 20 minutes or so. Flat is very overlooked so dark, and darker still when you have to close the shutters for privacy. The two information binders were not helpful for local information such as where is the grocery store (although on my very last night I found a third binder hidden in the top drawer of the bedroom chest which had some more details). There is a lot of noise from the two restaurants under the flat's windows until they close, but that was before I wanted to go to bed so it was okay. There is no outside space. The towels do not dry properly on the only towel rail in the bathroom and there is nowhere else to hang them, I expect earlier in the summer when it is hot then it wouldn't be an issue. I am 5'6" tall and struggled to reach the pots and pans which are high up in the narrow corner cupboard. The bottom sheet on the bed had strange dark stains which disgusted me at first but I think on inspection that they were ink stains.

This is not a criticism - unfortunately it was very hot and no air con made it slightly uncomfortable. It was made clear that property did not have air con and host provided a large fan, so not complaining but would consider air con in future for August trip.

Great central location in Varenna. Short walk from train station. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything that we needed. Easy to communicate with host via WhatsApp. Lovely apartment and highly recommend.

Great location!

Maria & Pietro met our train, which was late, and took us to Casa do Mezzo. (We could never have found it on our own.). They showed us how everything worked, where to find breakfast cafes and other community facilities. The location is perfect: Close to the lake, ferries, and the town square.

The shower is tiny by American standards, but it was clean and shiny and modern! I’m grateful they were able to fit it in at all in such an old building.

Good hosts great location.

Location was good. Hosts were kind enough to greet us at train station and take us to their place. Showed us a few helpful things.

There was a street light that shone in the window and disrupted our sleep. (We were not told about the shutters outside that could be closed to avoid issue. We had to keep window closed due to mosquitoes but failed to turn on ac so hot.

Apartament to naprawdę pokój z małą kuchnią i miejsca nie ma za wiele, ale dla 2 osób wystarczy, o ile nie chce się gotować, bo część kuchenna jest bardzo mała. Ale jest naprawdę wszystko co potrzebne, wszelkie przyprawy, olej, różne herbaty, kawa, cukier. Niczego nam nie brakowało. Mieszkanie urządzone w stylu pra-babci, co nie wszystkim się spodoba, dla nas było ok. Łóżko duże, wygodne. Szafa i komoda do przechowywania. Mimo szczytu sezonu nie było za gorąco, wiatraka nie używaliśmy, klimatyzacji nie ma. Po zamknięciu restauracji w okolicy bardzo cicho. Łazienka jak na wielkość całego mieszkania bardzo duża, woda gorąca, dobre ciśnienie, dostępne potrzebne kosmetyki, wystarczająca ilość ręczników. Kąpiel po całym dniu zwiedzania byłą przyjemnością. Polecamy

Nie podobał nam się sposób "zameldowania". Zażądano zeskanowania dokumentu tożsamości co zrobiliśmy, podając nie wiadomo komu wiele naszych danych wrażliwych. W dobie RODO wydaje się to niedopuszczalne. Gospodarz miał problem z otwarciem plików i nie chciał nam podać kodów dostępu do mieszkania. Zamiast pakować się i odpoczywać przed podróżą, siedzieliśmy przy komputerze próbując wielokrotnie i na różne sposoby przesłać nasze dane. W końcu udało się dogadać, ale w przeddzień wyjazdu było to stresujące. Gospodarza nie widzieliśmy na oczy, więc nie mamy zdania
