Hampden Glasgow Tenement Flat

Location was good. Tesco a few doors away for some last minute shopping. Bedrooms are lodge and spacious. Loved the shower. Owner was lovely too and high is always really helpful.

It was all ok. Nothing was needing to be raised. Had a nice stay.

Gordon, de gastheer, heeft ons heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Hij gaf ook goede informatie over restaurants en de omgeving. Echt een typische B en B van het oude stempel waar je te gast ben in de woning, zit in de kamer en mee eet in de eetkamer. Gordon heeft ons ook de weg gewezen naar de Duncansby Sea Stacks om de papagaai duikers ofwel Puffins te spotten. Dat was zeer de moeite waard. De Sea Stacks zijn overigens al te bewonderen uit zijn keukenraam maar zijn goed aan te lopen vanaf de vuurtoren.

The location was good for us as it’s near Mount Florida station

I booked the flat as I needed two twin rooms - maybe I read the description wrong but I discovered that one of these rooms had a double. Fortunately our team numbers had changed so it was ok. There were no curtains on the windows - just cloth - and no lamps next to the beds. There were no bins in the bedrooms - at a minimum one in the bathroom is essential for females. And it would have been handy to have a fold up table & chairs available as we ate together and the glass tables were slanted so the dishes kept sliding off it! But we made it work
