Convenient for the airport primarily. Room was excellent despite being not in main building - very well appointed and comfortable. Excellent food available in the pub and great real ale! Fantastic staff and the easiest of check outs in the morning - just post your key through the letterbox! All in all, most excellent!

What we expected and suited our purpose for and early flight saving an overnight drive.

Shower/bathroom window would not close fully giving a chill draught to the bathroom . Soon fixed with a hefty thump from the outside!

Disappointed

Quirky pub. Ideal for overnight stop ahead of flight next day but lacked warmth and charm.

On the road side so lots of traffic noise. Our room had a green light on all night which made the room light and difficult to sleep in. Damp patches on ceiling. Doors squeaking which disturbed us when other guests arrived and left. No sound proofing could hear other guests talking

Ok if you like smoking and traffic noise.

The staff were welcoming and the bed was comfortable.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke, especially the bathroom but I was too tired to go back outside and mention it to the staff. As I was at the front of the pub, the noise from the road was constant all night and the double glazing seemed to do little to alleviate it.

Comfy room. Short staffed. Lacking in some basic food.

The breakfast was very good and promptly served. The lady serving us breakfast was friendly in the morning. The room was clean, warm, good shower and the bed very comfortable. We were in a room where it was quiet from the road noise and think we were lucky. Very close to airport.

Not a good start to the stay…We arrived for a small lunch and ordered Tomato soup, baguette and served with croutons. We were told they had run out of baguettes, would a slice of bread do. The soup arrived with no croutons, on asking we were told they’d run out! The lady at the bar was rather shirty. How long does it take to make a few croutons??? We were then given our key to the room with explicit instructions where it was, go through the door first on the left. The door was open. We rested in the afternoon and returned to the bar at 6.00pm for a meal. I had to return to the room for something and the key wouldn’t work? I was then told off for being in the wrong room! We had been in the room since 2.00pm! Anyway we were abruptly told that she would have to change the rooms on her system. We ordered our meal and waited 1 hour 25 minutes ! Now in retrospect we feel that for a Saturday night they were lacking in staff to cope with the number of clients who were eating and drinking. The staff tried their best to cope with the rush. We did not feel looked after until the morning at breakfast.

Great hotel

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We booked on short notice to stay the night before our early flight, and we would defo return & recommend. The location is great for the airport.

The only issue is how much noise the doors make going into the rooms, you can hear every door opening & closing throughout the night.

Great place with good food.

Fab place, nice warm room, good quality bedding and nice large towels. Decent shower pressure too. Plenty of free car parking, just register your vehicle on their system. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent place & lovely pub to stop before Bristol flight

Lovely welcome from friendly staff, convenient parking, restaurant on site and proximity to airport.

The only downside were other guests so not marking property down as not their fault. Other guests very noisy at 2am disturbing us when we did not need to be up until 4

Always very good I will come back no problem

On two occasions i stayed at the fox and goose the staff are very attentive and pleasant nothing was too much trouble. Didnt have breakfast as left at 3 o'clock in the morning. The evening meal on arrival was lovely

Unfortunately due not to the place itself rather than the other guests next door they were very noisy at times for a short time only thankfully especially as I had a very early wake up call. The steps up to bedrooms are a bit awkward with luggage. The lady carried my case up for me even though she had a bad back bless her

Surrounded by 2 tables with noisy children - crying, pulling baubles off Christmas tree, crawling around on floor when I was at the bar. Beer excellent price.y One small point - apple core in the crumble, otherwise good. Room very warm. Switched radiator to low and opened window but very noisy from busy road.

Woken up early by someone walking about above our heads (we thought it was single storey, room 21). As it was a Marstons Inn I hoped that they would have more than one beer, four hand pumps, all Pedigree. The bar and dining area looked tired. (I accept that all the huge cobwebs were Halloween decorations🤣)

Perfectly good standard of accommodation & convenient.

Would have been very handy for the Airport. We used it for the Women's RWC semi final at Ashton Gate Stadium, a taxi ride away. Signed in with the parking. Did what we needed it for. A good sized room & facilities etc.Plus the use of the big pub for a nightcap. Dinner was available if you wanted.

The landlady was efficient but could have been a little more welcoming, not very smiley. I had a shower after my husband & there wasn't much hot water left, mostly a cold shower.

Warm welcome

We had a really warm welcome when we arrived, even though they were busy with Sunday Lunches. Went to our room it was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable. We went down to the bar for food and some drinks, staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. Our meals were lovely, and well worth the price. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be coming back here.
