Staff very accommodating, decent location and food options/ supermarkets nearby. TV, kettle and microwave as well as iron and ironing board on request. Great if you are on a budget in Oxford!

I could not spend the night in the room

The attention was good, and the receptionist was quite friendly

The surroundings are unpleasant, the smell of cigarettes at night is awful, and you can hear everything other people say in the rooms perfectly. Also, the bathroom wasn't clean enough. I couldn't sleep there; I had to find another room for the night.

TV didn't work but I don't blame the staff who weren't on site as I arrived late. The other former guests obviously do not treat that hotel with the respect it deserves. The shower was too hot. Couldn't use it or turn it down temperature wise. But was a drained room so all good. Clean.

Very disappointing: - Shower floor conveniently not photographed in property advert - Bedroom smoke alarm covered up with a plastic bag (a big no-no anywhere, even in your own home) - Black mould on two corners of the windowsill and in bathroom corners (especially right by the shower) - Damp smell in the bedroom (obviously because of the black mould) - Shower head and bathroom floor looked like they hadn't been cleaned in over a week - Leak stains on the bedroom ceiling and paint peeling off bedroom walls and windowsill - TV didn't connect to the satellite

Fairly good for the price

Most of all I appreciated that the room was quiet. I also appreciated the coffee, the microwave and the fan that helped us with the heat. The staff was polite and helpful. The bedsheets were clean.

There wasn't any closet for clothes, the matress wasn't great, and there was no shower curtain.

will avoid in future

Very keen to communicate before the stay, but when the hospital appointment was postponed and we tried to cancel - we've been met with nothing but "Radio Silence" since. Also, it states Free Parking on the advert, but after we'd booked, we received a message advising we needed to reserve parking, but when we messaged to request a reservation - were told that they couldn't reserve a space, or guarantee any parking!!!

The large kitchen/diner had everything you needed. The room was very clean and so was the en-suite bathroom. It was quiet and the bus stop was nearby to go into Oxford City.

Uncomfortable Morning

The location was fine. I took the 5-number bus to reach the city centre, which took around 20 minutes.

The bathroom doesn't have a lock from the Inside. Informed the staff immediately, but he ignored it and was well aware of it. mentioned all rooms are like that and can't be swapped.

Great value, improvement needed

A few things: This is a upstairs space on top of stores with no real reception. I wish there was more direction before arrival 1) Check- in/out - would only work if you have a UK phone number. - when we called they had to call back to double check our booking 2) No real Parking - Wasn’t clear that we should book ahead when we Stated there is parking on the description, but not entirely sure how its possible if there are more than one guest with a car. There was one single parking spot for the entire place. We were told to park in front of a neighbour’s house, but really the neighbour could say no! 3) TV Yes, there is one, nope, there is channel and not connected to anything to watch

No proper parking, have to park in front of shops but it’s their parking space. Bathroom floor wet due to shower constantly dripping. Bedside table drawer not clean, full of bits, hairs etc. Tea&coffee provided but only one although there was 2 of us. No teaspoon.

I found the entry system tricky, with the keys in the mailbox and having to receive instructions by intercom on a busy road. Didn't see a staff member the whole time, either evening or morning.

The paint in the wall is coming out with cob webs all over the room. Heater not working,cleanliness is very low . The noise from the next door rooms was too much and guests seemed less considerate of other guests..asked about kitchen and never got response…

Convenient for 1 evening, but not a long term stay sort of place.

The lady who greeted us was lovely, she came to meet me at the front door and explained my keys and everything, and the bedroom was well presented, the bed itself and the towels given were clean.

Sadly the cleanliness of the bathroom was subpar, there was hair in the drain and moulding behind the sink. Sadly the fridge in the bedroom stunk. Where it had been left unplugged, you could just smell it.

Fine for a single overnight stay

The room was clean and adequate and facilities were as described. It was fine for a single overnight stay. Locating the hotel was difficult as it is situated over a parade of shops with an entrance between shop frontages. Parking is on the shop frontage. A good bus service operates to the city centre, with a stop near the hotel.

Signage for the hotel requires improvement.

Adequate but basic

Reasonable-sized en-suite room with fairly comfortable bed and desk/chair. Fan was welcome. Despite the room overlooking the main road and directly behind a bus stop, it wasn’t too noisy. Host was friendly and tried to resolve the parking issue but in the end we had to park in the road.

Despite arranging a parking space in advance, this didn’t materialise (the property is above a barbers) and we had to park in a side street a few mins walk away (residents only during weekdays). Shower support broken so had to hold with one hand while showering. Water doesn’t drain away very well so bathroom floor very wet after showering. Basic tea/coffee supplies with 2 mugs but only 1 glass and no spoons for 2 people. Extra pillows would have been nice. Location not in the nicest part of Oxford but convenient for where we wanted to go
