Great location, large apartment. lousy detailing and noisy at night due to boat engines of all kiind

the apartment is a very spaciousl two bedroom with a patio in the back which was quiet. On the first look, the apartment was large overlooking the busy Giudecca Canal. So many boats, ferries and ships pass by the window with the S. Basilio public dock below the apartment. Dorsodura is a great neighbourhood outside of the tourist area. Its a 15 min winding walk into the main areas of Venice. Very quiet neighbourhood at night.

On first look the apartment was great with the view of the canal and back patio. The detailing is missing for $500.00 night. Main bed is large and quite hard. The back beds are two singles and too hard. My partner had to sleep on the couch as the single beds were that uncomfortable. We rented for 4 days and planned to cook in. The kitchen was large but all the pots, fry pans etc were cheap Chinese made with the black coating scratched or peeling off.? Basic care of the apartment and cleaning would replace these. One of the pans was missing its handle yet they didn't throw it out on the change over? The wooden cutting board was mold covered at the end and 10" long. There was a small plastic cutting board. To clean the dishes, the scrubber sponge had the material peeling off leaving bits in the dishes to be cleaned. It should be replaced each time a new customer comes in? The bathroom didn't have any shampoos. It seems Venice Apartments company relies on the left overs of their tenants. The soap for the shower was a left over bar of soap, a well used piece of soap for $500/night? My recommendation is Venice Apartments should go shopping and supply the necessary basics for justifying charging $500/night. Even at $300/night they should supply basic soap/shampoo/safe cooking supplies. I liked the location for sure. A couple of night stay is fine. Don't plan to cook. Bring your own shampoo and soap unless you're fine with using old soaps, etc.

Exceptional

Beautiful apartment with great views

Strict instructions to leave no food waste or rubbish. Had to take it to garbage boat station and felt this was not appropriate for the price. Happy to take but this was an issue on the last day as you could not leave glass according to schedule. Only thing that spoiled the experience as the apartment was exceptional

Passable

It was our 4th stay and we still love the view to the Giudecca canal and the busy life from early morning till midnight. Unfortunately, we had to struggle with several problems that we wouldn’t have expected in a well-kept apartment. In both bathrooms the toilet lids were moving scarily (may be since our last stay in 2021?), the shower hose was broken and the door between the main bedroom and living room could not be closed. During a heavy rain in the evening on Friday 16.9., a lot of water came in and flooded the living room, bath- and bedroom on the north front. We spent a lot of time with drying everything. On Wednesday, 21.9., there was no warm water, but somebody came later to repair it. Next day the same story, but until our departure on Friday, nobody was sent. May be, three days of cold showers should give us a preview to the upcoming energy problems. In September 2020 the new owner of the apartment called me, to inform about the renovation and new equipment. I hoped, there would also be a housekeeper, who has an eye on everything, not only on the representative parts but also on the things, that suffer by daily use. This year our stay was not worth the price we had to pay.

great quiet location,

Location, location, location.... on top of a well sized supermarket with great views (the pictures are correct) and also very quiet during the day and night. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (they have one on the 1st as well), it is quite large with good silent airco's in each room. Sufficiently equipped kitchen and overall spotless clean. Concerns from other reviews that is may becoming gradually rundown were not in line with what we found ..., like most buildings in Venice, also this one is very old so one should take that into account and enjoy the special charm of it. Ernst, the caretaker, was flexible with the arrival and took ample time to explain on surroundings. Wifi was good as well and this meant happy children :) Although one could walk the whole town, we would still recommend the Venice pass at 20/day (multiple days are cheaper) so you can see all in a relaxed pace and still go to diner to the opposite side in Giudecca, etc.

not much, I would have to start to invent things...maybe an espresso machine?

Appartement familial sur la zattere avec vue époustouflante sur la giudecca.

La surface des pièces et surtout la vue incroyable sur la Giudecca ! Une jolie terrasse et un ascenseur pour rejoindre l’appartement. La station de vaporetto au pied de l’immeuble ainsi qu’une grande supérette pour les courses quotidiennes.

La literie mériterait d’être renouvelée. Les salles de bains demandent un petit rafraîchissement.
