This apartment has much to commend it: Excellent location in the Dorsoduro for accessing Venice’s main attractions, as well as food, transport and groceries and other practical things. Spacious lounge (with cool antiques and retro items), 2 good strong AC units for all areas except bedrooms (a godsend in the heatwave), good wifi, small outdoor area, good washing machine and clothesline outside, nice shower, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen which enables you to cook your own meals if you wish (except the oven did not work- except on grill- when we were there). The host, Cristina, was very accommodating with check in and an excellent communicator via WhatsApp. Good arrival and check in instructions, including how apply for the visitor fee exemption. Good basic supplies in the apartment. Good instructions re the trash- always an effort in Venice but it worked well following the instructions.

Copious amounts of brick dust and grit descended on the horizontal surfaces, we felt the apt could do with a deep clean, sandwich-maker rather than proper toaster, oven didn't work.

We were amazed to stay in a two bedroom apartment in the heart of Venice. The neighborhood was perfect and the outdoor garden area was extra special for drinking coffee or looking at the stars at night. As a family of four we had plenty of space and having two bathrooms for a bonus. We also loved the nearby canal and bars and restaurants to walk too!

Felt like home, everything was provided exactly what you needed. If you wanted to cook, you had plenty of pot and pans, cups, dishes, etc. 15/20 min walk to St Marks Square and 15 min walk to train station. Host was great, made sure our stay was comfortable. 2 bathrooms was a plus with a family of 5. Quiet area, but close to restaurants and market.

Gute Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin, Lage des Appartments

Geruch im Appartment - man sollte bedenken dass sich die Wohnung ebenerdig befindet und alte Mauern besitzt, das riecht man leider sehr stark! Das Appartment ist zwar groß aber die Bäder sind winzig und vor allem auch das 2. Schlafzimmer (Stockbett) ist extrem klein und für 2 Erwachsene mühsam. Auch könnte sauberer geputzt werden, ist alles sehr staubig! Auch ist die Temperatur im Appartment wahnsinnig warm. Es gibt eine Aircondition beim Essbereich, und eine im Gang vor dem Schlafbereich - keine Chance die Schlafbereiche zu kühlen, Fenster sind straßenseitig und damit kann man sie auch nicht wirklich offen lassen, sonst hat man auch viele Insekten im Innenbereich.
