Lakeside Lodge Golf and Country Club

Lovely setting, staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly.

The accommodation area looked a little tired and tatty. Nothing major but the courtyard needed a good sweep and the outdoor furniture a little tlc. Room was basic but clean and the bed was very comfy.

Beautiful location. Cosy rooms. Excellent food. Friendly staff.

I booked this accommodation specifically because it had EV charging on site. When I was called about checking in on the morning of my visit I asked again if the chargers were available and I was told yes. On arrival I discovered that they were not working and the staff were not sure how they worked. This was disappointing. Many people have EV cars and if they have chargers they should be available. Staff should also be aware of how they work and appreciate the importance of them.

Location

The rooms were very dated, not even a hairdryer in the room. Available at reception but it’s quite a trek and would have been a bigger issue had the weather been poor. Bathroom facilities were ok but shower was slippery and the shower head would not stay in the holder. No AC just very noisy fan which was of little use in the hot weather.
