It was very good selection for my wife and my work.

Location of the hotel perfect for seeing the city. Hotel provided family environment and the personnel was very polite and helpful. Just across the historical view and locations.

Hospitality, warm Welcome, easy to access, cleanness, large room and perfect price. Easily to reach the city center, shopping and taking a nice walk around the hotel location.

Hotel Schwanenburg was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is ideal – on a quiet street just a short walk from the train station and town centre, with beautiful views of Schwanenburg Castle and good value for money. My room had a balcony with table and chairs outside and inside the room, excellent storage space and offered far more comfort and privacy than a soulless chain hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches. It had a value for money drinks fridge (as no bar but better prices and speed) and an in room hairdryer. What truly set this hotel apart was the warm and welcoming hospitality. The staff were friendly, professional and swift – offering local tips and making the whole stay feel personal and relaxed. Breakfast was fantastic and served from 6:30 perfect for business and non-business travellers. It was freshly prepared, with loads of choice, including the chance to easily get your 5-a-day fruit in – a real bonus when travelling for work. The WiFi and smart TV setup were also far better than many other places I’ve stayed at in Kleve. Parking also possible outside.

Nothing – it was faultless for my stay. Be aware only no checkin after 9pm.

Very enjoyable

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good, although the step in and out of the shower was a bit challenging. The breakfast was superb, and despite some of the previous comments about the land lady, she was very helpful and sociable.

Not so keen on the doorway between the rooms 11 and 12. We were in room 12.

Good-value, traditional family-run hotel in a convenient locatioh

A friendly, traditional family-run hotel conveniently located in a quiet residential street less than 5 minutes from the town centre. Our room had its own terrace. The owners were very helpful and provided secure parking for our bicycles. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied. Good value all round.

Not a dislike or problem as such but, as with many traditional German businesses, it is only possible to pay in cash.

Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden.

Das Hotel ist ein paar Gehminuten von der Untereren Innenstadt entfernt. Am Eingang hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Schwanenburg. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und die Auswahl groß. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und sauber. Zu Silvester gab es im Zimmer eine Aufmerksamkeit des Hauses (Kleine Flasche Sekt und Schokolade) darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut.

Das Bad ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein neuer Duschkopf würde nicht schaden.

Es war ein super schöner Aufenthalt.

Sehr schöne geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Durchgängiges Farbkonzept im gesamten Haus (alles sehr schön auf einander abgestimmt von der Bettwäsche über die Bilder bis zur Kaffeekanne in einem wohltuenden frischen Apfelgrün). Besonders möchte ich das vielfältige Frühstück mit hochwertigen Lebensmitteln in einer großen Vielfalt hervorheben. Ich habe nicht einmal in einem 4* - oder 5* - Hotel zu dieser Jahreszeit frische Erdbeeren, Himbeeren und Brombeeren zum Müsli oder Joghurt/Quark angeboten bekommen. Auch wenn ich persönlich eher saisonal orientiert bin, war das ein echtes, völlig unerwartetes Highlight.

Das Hotel war gut gelegen und zu Fuß alles erreichbar. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt obwohl wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind. Das Frühstücksbuffet war bunt gemischt und für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei. Wir würden wieder kommen.
