It was very good selection for my wife and my work.

Location of the hotel perfect for seeing the city. Hotel provided family environment and the personnel was very polite and helpful. Just across the historical view and locations.

Hospitality, warm Welcome, easy to access, cleanness, large room and perfect price. Easily to reach the city center, shopping and taking a nice walk around the hotel location.

Hotel Schwanenburg was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is ideal – on a quiet street just a short walk from the train station and town centre, with beautiful views of Schwanenburg Castle and good value for money. My room had a balcony with table and chairs outside and inside the room, excellent storage space and offered far more comfort and privacy than a soulless chain hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches. It had a value for money drinks fridge (as no bar but better prices and speed) and an in room hairdryer. What truly set this hotel apart was the warm and welcoming hospitality. The staff were friendly, professional and swift – offering local tips and making the whole stay feel personal and relaxed. Breakfast was fantastic and served from 6:30 perfect for business and non-business travellers. It was freshly prepared, with loads of choice, including the chance to easily get your 5-a-day fruit in – a real bonus when travelling for work. The WiFi and smart TV setup were also far better than many other places I’ve stayed at in Kleve. Parking also possible outside.

Nothing – it was faultless for my stay. Be aware only no checkin after 9pm.

Very enjoyable

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good, although the step in and out of the shower was a bit challenging. The breakfast was superb, and despite some of the previous comments about the land lady, she was very helpful and sociable.

Not so keen on the doorway between the rooms 11 and 12. We were in room 12.

Good-value, traditional family-run hotel in a convenient locatioh

A friendly, traditional family-run hotel conveniently located in a quiet residential street less than 5 minutes from the town centre. Our room had its own terrace. The owners were very helpful and provided secure parking for our bicycles. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied. Good value all round.

Not a dislike or problem as such but, as with many traditional German businesses, it is only possible to pay in cash.

Net hotel, mooie grote kamer met eigen badkamer. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid.

Beperkte parkeergelegenheid, maar voldoende verderop in de straat.

De locatie is uitstekend gelegen, dichtbij het centrum en de Schwanenburg. De kamers zijn comfortabel. Het ontbijt is uitstekend, ruime keuze, warm/koud, gezond/ongezond(er), veel vers fruit, prima verzorgd!

De enige opmerking die we hebben betreft de kraan van de wastafel die erg stroef te bedienen was. Hierdoor gebruik je meer en langer water dan nodig is.

Für 70 € hätte ich nicht die Welt erwartet, aber das war schon sehr wenig.

Die Betreiberin und das Frühstück waren gut

Das Hotel ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hauptzimmer war okay. Das Bad müsste grundlegend renoviert werden. Beim Aussteigen aus der Dusche musste ich über das Waschbecken steigen. So eng sind die Badezimmer. Hatte was von Montagearbeiterunterkunft. Für eine Nacht okay, aber beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht gut. Insbesondere wenn man berücksichtigt, dass es in Kleve war und nicht in einer Großstadt

Prima en fijn verblijf in Kleve

Goede locatie nabij centrum en rustig gelegen. Het is schoon en de bedden waren goed. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en goed. De prijs kwaliteit is goed in verhouding.

De kamer is wel wat verouderd maar ik vind hygiëne en fijne bedden vele malen belangrijker. Ik had niet gezien dat je er niet kan pinnen. Dat was even zoeken maar het staat wel ergens in de boeking als je doorklikt op betaling in beheer. Zou iets duidelijker mogen. Geen probleem verder uiteraard om contant te betalen maar dat heb ik meestal niet op zak 😉

Nicht weiter zu Empfehlen

Wir haben über Booking.com das Hotel Schwanenburg in Kleve für zwei Nächte gebucht, da es eine Bewertung von 8.0 (Sehr gut) bekam. Das Hotel ist von aussen und innen sehr in die Jahre gekommen und müsste dringend kernsaniert werden. Das beste war der frisch, hergerichtete Frühstücksraum und das Frühstück.

Unser Zimmer Nr.3 im 1.OG hatte zwei Lichtschalter sowie drei Steckdosen (inclusive Bad). Des Weiteren war ein Elektrischer Quirl hinter der Toilette angebracht um das Toilettenpapier etc., zu zerkleinern, da das Toiletten Ablaufrohr im Durchmesser zu klein ist (Baujahr 1950)? Beim betätigen der Toilettenspülung zog es hörbar Luft am Waschbeckenablauf.. Es gab auch keine Lüftung im Bad, das ohne Fenster/Tageslicht war. Des weiteren roch es überall sehr modrig. Es sind auch sichtbare Spuren vor dem Fenster auf dem Boden (eingetrocknete Wasserflecken)? Auf der Wand zum Flur ist auf der linken Seite ein Riss in der Wand und die mit Holzpanelen abgehängte Decke neigt sich sichtbar zur Mitte. Dieses habe ich auch gleich an die Betreiber des Hotels weitergeleitet (Decke könnte ja auch herunterfallen). Alles im allem müsste dieses Zimmer dringend saniert werden. Es war alles in allem das Zimmer schmuddelig und abgenutzt. Laut dem Betreiber hat er das Hotel nur gepachtet( deshalb wird auch kein Geld zur Renovierung rein gesteckt). Vielleicht ist ja nur das Zimmer Nr. 3 in diesem Zustand. Daher können wir das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen. Ich weiß nicht, wie das Hotel mit sehr gut bewertet wurde.

Gut gelegenes, aber in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, dass den "Charme der 60/70 Jahre" versprüht.

Die Lage, das Frühstück.. Die Lage des Hotels ist excellenrt. Praktisch im Zentrum der Stadt in einer absolut ruhigen Seitenlage Restaurants, Stadtmitte, Bahnhof ,Fussgängerzone alles in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus.

Steile Treppe, kein Aufzug. Für ältere Gäste mit Gepäck evt. problematisch. Dünne Wände, man hörte das Schnarchen eines Gastes aus dem direkten Nachbarzimmer. Das Alter des Hotels incl. Möbilierung zeigt sich ziemlich überall. Hier könnte durchaus doch eine Generalüberholung durchgeführt werden.

Prima hotel voor een stedentripje Kleef.

Het ontbijt was meer dan uitstekend. De bedden waren ook erg comfortabel.

De kamer lag op de derde etage. Trappen klimmen is niet echt mijn favoriete hobby.
