Absolutely loved our stay! Danie and Janie were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was a real highlight, everything was delicious and made with so much care. Such a special place with wonderful people. We would happily come back again and again and couldn’t recommend it more.

Exceptional stay!!!
Hosts are friendly and engaged.
Room was upgraded due to it being low season. That was very kind of hosts to do this.
View of Houtbay is oustanding- ocean views with mountains around.
Breakfast was enjoyable. A true chef!
Room was cleaned each day beyond our expectations.
Hosts were catering with early checkins and checkouts due to our flights
Tranquil and relaxing environment.

We were greeted by lovely dogs and even the hosts were very friendly. 😁 we got a room upgrade since it was the low season and rooms with a view were available. The view is great, you can see all of Houtbay.
Don't go if you are afraid of dogs. But even if you're not a fan, the dogs won't bother you if you don't want it.
The abundant Breakfast was freshly made according to our liking. Don't expect to leave early if you like your breakfast.
If you don't have a car to get there, this might not be the place for you. The surroundings area is ok to drive through.

We were made to feel so much at home by our hosts! Janni and Danie were amazing! Our Room (Art Deco) was lovely and clean with a terrific view of beautiful Hout Bay. But the best part was how caring they were. Danie made amazing English breakfasts cooked fresh each day that was to die for. Janni was very kind to take lots of time to help us map out our plan to see the Penguin colony and Kalk Bay. Janni even drove us to the night market at the bay so we could enjoy food, music and shopping- and kindly offered to picked us back up at the end of the evening! They went above and beyond the call. Oh, and then there are the 3 sweet dogs- especially the puppy Jack. I highly recommend Poseidon Guest House for a truly wonderful stay. We would love to return!
