Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town

It was a great location and very good value for money

Sometimes at breakfast the service wasn’t great and the tables weren’t set. I also noticed that any plates/cups/cutlery that looked like they hadn’t been used, they would be left for the next people who sit on the table which isn’t very hygienic

Desapointing

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately found the overall experience disappointing, especially considering the price. The rooms are quite outdated and not well maintained — for example, my door didn’t even close properly, which felt both inconvenient and unsafe. The general condition of the hotel doesn’t reflect the rate being charged; it really needs some renovation and better upkeep. I want to highlight that the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Great base for a stay in camps bay

I keep coming back to camps bay and there bay hotel is a great location as a base. They have upgraded the gym and there are more options at breakfast this year. Top tip, enjoy your sundowners at caamils bar, tishane will look after you and the view is amazing. My one feedback would be that I’m a returning customer and that never seems to count for anything as far as rewards.

Classic yet modern hotel that has it all!

The ambiance and location were great. Right on the beach road and very modern yet classic!

The roof made loud noises with the strong 41kmh winds bashing against the sea and the resort.

The most expensive hotel on our visit to the Cape Town area and the worst value for money

Location of property,room servicing was good ,70 percent of the staff are good ( the rest bring it way down )

The entire property was very run down and in need of a full refurbishment.a full glass panel around one of the pools was broken leaving a 1 meter opening to the bar below .too many to count tiles missing from the same pool edge .certain two members of the pool bar tried to over charge for drinks on more than one occasion .the worst breakfast we have ever had in a 5 star hotel ,not even guest house standards and the staff are in need of customer service training ,never smile ,walk away when being spoken too.if you need a drink of any discrimination you have to wait until the have finished chatting among themselves .the beach club place dance music all day at a ridiculous volume,ruining any chance of a relaxing day

Location

Everything except the location is awful. the front desk staff is terrible. It started with our room not being ready till 4 PM, we had to wait for 2 hours because there was some problem with the bed apparently. They refused to give us another room. The whole hotel smells, the corridors smell, the rooms are ok and our bedsheets had black stains on them. The booking said Mountain View but there was literally a stairwell outside our room (picture attached). During room cleaning they didn’t replenish our water and we had to call them 5 times over the span of an hour for water. Despite that we didn’t get any so my husband went to the reception to get it. All in all, a pretty bad experience. Would not recommend at all.

It is such a Gem..

I loved everything about this place. It is in the heart of Camps Bay. The beach is actually at your door step and its closer to restaurants. The receptionist by the name of Lisa made me feel very welcome.✨

They are in a process of changing their menu. So the interim menu is a big No No for a Hotel of this calibre, especially their Mains it’s like a slap in your face. I couldn’t eat what I’ve ordered for dinner, I ended up eating dessert which was a lovely cheesecake.

Man sollte nicht zu hohe Erwartungen haben. Die normalen Zimmer im The Bay Hotel sind im Gegensatz zu den Pad Adventure

Gute Lage direkt am Camps Bay Beach

Die Pad Adventure Zimmer sind eher eine Art Abstellkammer und sind extrem laut. Die ganze Nacht hört man sämtliche Lüftungsgeräusche, die aber nicht aus dem eigenen Zimmer kommen. Bis auf die Parkwächter, die wirklich sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt waren, war das restliche Personal eher unfreundlich und unmotiviert.
