An excellent place to relax and unwind.

We loved everything about this place. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the wine tasting and food were excellent. We also used the pool, sauna and hot tub with ice bath. Brilliant!

Perfect stay for any Honeymoon or Getaway experience

Everything was incredible; from the minute we arrived our luggage was taken care of, the staff were super friendly and we really felt welcomed and taken care of. Everything you could want for your honeymoon and more. We wish we'd booked a few extra nights, it was a great place and we'll definitely be back.

The only negative thing we have to say and it's probably not in the hotel's control, but we were woken up extremely early by the resident geese/ducks. They were so loud and right outside our window.

Beautiful state. The room smelled always like flowers. The views were lovely. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was exceptional. I would easily recommend to any friends, or even come back.

What a beautiful piece of paradise in the middle of Cape Town. Such a tranquil and luxurious spot with sublime meals and superb rooms. It exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel catered to our every request with both punctuality and precision.

Really couldn't have asked for more. Cape Town weather was also exceptional. So an absolute thumbs up from us. Everything had recently undergone a re-vamp and this only added to the ambiance of the venue.

Absolutely Stunning! Stayed for 3 nights and it truly was exceptional. Huge thanks to all the staff and Zainab in reception. Everyone was extremely helpful. The room was so comfortable with a beautiful view. Had 3 spa treatments, the best! The food was delicious - everything was just amazing. Everything was to perfection!

The hotel staff & all the rooms are wonderful, the setting is gorgeous & totally relaxing. Dinner & wine selections in Tryn very good indeed.

Ashlynn was the best ! Beautiful garden and terrace. Close to great golf course. Winetasting excellent. Bistro 1852 was out of this world.

Returned to the Steenberg 18months and later and still loved it

Location, friendliness of the staff, aesthetic, pool area, proximity to Cape Town and the airport. Loved the restaurant physical building setup / the outdoor terraces.

The restaurant staff for both breakfast and dinner could have been better - no real drive, enthusiasm, passion for customers, execution of service as befits the restaurant standard.

Feeling at home in a hotel

The attentiveness of the people working in the hotel and restaurants. They felt like personal friends who’ve known for years. Helpful tips with regards to food, things to do in and around the vineyard and even tips on where to run to prepare for the half marathon. During my days they always knew what I was up to and tried to help me where possible (in the best possible kind of way). Will definitely return.
