Location was perfect for the nearby walks, great value and breakfast was excellent.
It mentioned minimal parking but we were fortunate to get a spot on arrival so nothing negative to say about our stay.

We had previously stayed at the Inn at Grasmere, however never before stayed at the little Inn. The room we had was spacious and had it's own private patio which would be excellent in the warm summer months. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, the shower was nice and the decoration in the room was tasteful. Couldn't fault the room in any way.
The room we had was on the ground floor and the main door on hinges banged loudly every time someone entered or exited the building. Not a problem during the day, but less pleasant at 1am.
Whilst we suspected that the facilities (Bar, restaurant, pool etc) were in the main hotel rather than the little inn, it wasn't clear in the booking description. Although only a short walk, in torrential rain it can be off-putting, and for someone who has never before stayed it's worth bearing in mind.
