Wonderful stay!

Everything was wonderful! Warm, comfortable room with all you need provided. A very kind, generous host who provided amazing hospitality for us as wet, muddy cyclists. We are so grateful for her doing our washing 🙏 . Coffee and apple strudel for breakfast was a treat. Great views and a short walk up to the old town. We highly recommend staying at Nena's if you get the chance.

Welcoming host, great views from the property, great value for cost!

We specifically selected Guest House Nena outside of old town so we could enjoy the entire view of Motovun in the early evening warm light before sunset and the early morning light before we went and explored the town. The property has a nice yard and sitting area with valley views, perfect for sipping local wines as well as a front porch table and chairs for taking in the views of Motovun. The rooms are on the upper level, and all share the separate toilet/sink and shower/sink rooms. We were fortunate to be the only ones there the night we stayed. Room was very clean, comfortable bed, simple, basic but signs of being well taken care of. Host was quite attentive and gracious in getting us set up and oriented with recommendations for local wine. Tomaz Winery is a short walk away and highly recommended. Modern facility, great views, great wines, and superb hospitality! We enjoyed a few samples and bought a bottle of the Malvazija Istarska for our sunset picnic. Breakfast was not included but we enjoyed a coffee and homemade biscuit with the host in the morning for a nice chat. Super great value for location

The weather! It was a bit cooler and windier than usual, so we did not get to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Just note that it's a little bit outside of the hill town and if you prefer to walk, requires climbing a few stairways to get to the plaza at the top. If you love to hike, you'll enjoy the slower approach taking in all of the amazing views.

The location is absolutely perfect! The property sits right on the Parenzana cycling trail in the heart of Motovun, surrounded by stunning views in every direction. The owner is a wonderfully kind and welcoming lady who made our stay feel extra comfortable and easy. There’s a secure garage for bikes, which was a huge plus for us. Our room and bathroom were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable—everything we needed for a great night’s stay. Highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Motovun, especially cyclists!

Clean apartment in one

Everything - Nena thought of everything you could ever need - shampoo, ear buds, two hairdryers. You name it. She also plied us with a beautiful cake and coffee, and the next morning the best home made hot croissants with home made cherry jam. So kind!! Also SPOTLESS

It was on a very busy road, but thanks to fantastic triple glazed windows it blocked out the noise

Nena's house is wonderful. The views are beautiful, and she also has an outdoor table where you can eat. The walk to Motovun is a bit tedious; it's a 20-minute uphill walk, followed by a downhill walk on the way back. Nena was very kind.

The Wi-Fi didn't work well, so be careful if you need it for work.

Friendly , lovely, helpful host, very clean and comfortable. Nena offered us coffee and tea, but also brought us her homemade breakfast cake. Great location for visiting Motovun.

Motovun was better because of Nena!

Our host, Nena, is the most delightful person! Everything was wonderful from check in to check out. She has thought of all the extras to make the visit perfect. The accommodations are secure. It was a quick walk to the shuttle for the castle walls, and an easy 20 minute walk down the hill to a restful sleep. There are two wineries within walking distance, and a little restaurant/cafe across the street. We fully recommend!

The house has not been updated for some time and has a slight old-fashioned scent.The host did not inform us of the double booking but kindly improvised her room for us, which was a nice gesture.

The apartment is part of a Nena's lovely house at the foot of Motovun. Mesmerizing views and peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are basic but had all what we needed for our short stay. Nena offered us fresh coffee and cake in the morning.

Beautiful home stay, personalised touches, incredible views. 10/10!!!

We absolutely loved our stay! Our host was so incredibly kind, offering us coffee and homemade cake (all made from produce in her garden), as well as, fresh figs! Such a welcoming homstay with a beautiful view of Motovuns surrounds. The little touches of lollies left on our pillows, sweet liquor offered in the room for a drink and slippers made the place have a sense of luxury without the huge price tag! We couldn’t recommend Nena more highly and will defiantly stay here again in the future if we are ever visiting Motovun again.

The best stay we have had on our trip so far. The place is great and Nena is very friendly and welcoming. We are traveling by bike and arrived very late that day due to a flat tire. Thanks to Nena we could still have dinner in a restaurant in town as she called the place and gave us a lift. Should we ever be in the area again, we definitely come and stay for a few days.

the house owner Nena is so kind and her apartment is very very clean and beautiful, we stayed in the ground floor and we can park our car just next to our door, very convenient. the breakfast Nena provided on EC tea cost was also nice.
