Good villa with leaky roof

The villa was lovely. It was very clean. The pool was good.

The cat meowing for food all the time as we are allergic to cats. Unfortunately the weather was terrible and the roof of the villa leaked very badly in many different places. The kitchen was totally flooded. As was one of the bedrooms and the bathroom. I know that the weather is not the fault of the owner but the beds had tarpaulins over the four poster so they must have been aware that the roof leaked. To ge fair they did refund our last night as we had to leave earlier than planned do to the state of the house.

For the love of cats…

Own swimming pool, towels provided, lots of room. Tucked away from the main road. All crockery and cutlery provided. Easy to get to the beach. We could park outside the property as we rented a car but enough space inside for scooters.

We got mixed messages about feeding the resident cat! I can’t bear to see animals hungry so I asked if we had to feed the cat and was told ‘yes’. Then the food was moved but said cat still came to us. My husband is allergic to cats and had we known there was a cat to feed, I may have not booked the property. Loud music every night from another property could be heard which was a pity but stopped eventually at about midnight. Make sure that you have cash to pay on arrival. Even though the information says pay in local currency, it doesn’t stipulate hard cash. Local currency could be on credit card! Thankfully we had enough cash.

Such a wonderful place stay for rest and relaxation. The staff were lovely and happy to help with anything you need, including activities, the beds comfy, pool was amazing and lots of good eating places. The wild dolphin sunrise cruise was magic. Highly recommend !!

a dream come true

I felt it was a privilege to stay at Villa Murni. It is clearly a much lovely family home in a traditional Balinese style. It is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable, well supplied with extra towels, toilet paper etc. We love to cook so the spacious kitchen with it's generous equipment, unlimited drinking water, large refrigerator, microwave, toaster and lots of hot water was great. The pool and garden are delightful, it's in walking distance to warungs, supermarket and beach, parking for our car at the gate. We also used the villa as a base to explore North Bali from Pemuteran to Amed and came back to our comfortable home each evening.

Perhaps another ceiling fan...the kitchen area does get warm but we used one of the standing fans from the bedroom.

It was really large and it was close to the supermarket and the beach. The rooms were clean.

The pool was dirty and small also the table was really weak and did break easily. There was also a gas leak in on of the bathrooms. It was also not a villa but a bungalow.

We love you Villa Murni!

The Villa is really nice, great little pool, close to the beach and restaurants. The owner is great to deal with, the local couple who maintain the Villa are just lovely and the driver is very knowledgeable and friendly. A perfect package for a perfect holiday!

Worst booking.com experience to date

Communication was terrible. Neither the owner or the manager communicated in a timely manner. The manager didn't even know we were arriving because the host never checked his emails. I tried to communicate via email, the booking.com website and the text number listed on the booking website. No response. No one was there to meet us when we arrived. If the phone number for the manager wasn't on the outside wall we would have been stranded there with nowhere to go. During our stay, communication with the manager wasn't returned until the end of the day. And I don't see how anyone could say this place is quiet. There is a temple or mosque not too far away that blasts prayers through loudspeakers 5 times a day, starting at 4:37am, precisely, every day. And the rooster in the back of the house. If you like sleeping in the morning, skip this place. The internet was non-existent. I had to burn up data on my phone plan to use it as a modem. The excuse was made that the provider was working on some towers but I don't buy it. Was everyone using that provider down for 4 days? I don't believe it. Also, at some point a smoker lived here. The smell isn't super strong, but it's definitely noticeable. If you're sensitive to stale cigarette smoke smell, you will notice it. The pillows were hard and lumpy, as if filled with walnuts. And there were no top sheets for the beds. Only bottom sheets and a blanket. And the scooters that the manager got for us were tired and worn out, mine had 65,000km on it. Also, we rented them for 3 days but the manager tried to retrieve them after 2.5 days. We had to insist just to be able to have them for the time we paid for them. And, the cat is dead.

Exceptional

The hosts, Mrs Komang and Mr Kobang were very friendly and helpful. They had good tips and helped when needed. They also helped us with some (paid) babysitting, which was really great. The place is big and clean! Very nice pool!

Need to walk a bit to get to the center of Lovina or restaurants. You can order delivery from Warung Bonsai which is at the main street and had very good food. Also Komang and Kobang coughed for us one evening. The house cat is quite determined that it is his/her house. Though it did not go inside, it was quite dominant on the porch and begging while having dinner. You get used to it, but if you're not really a cat person this can be a bit annoying.

Everything, the villa was amazing, loved the pool and outside entertaining area, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, location was great only a five minute walk to shops, restaurants and beach.

de locatie rustig gelegen. Het personeel Gobang en (Body) Ms Komang waren zeer behulpzaam met alles, uitstekend. Het zwembad was fijn. De WiFi was uitstekend mijn beste wifi in Bali.

De keuken was slecht uitgerust, geen pannen, wat aanwezig, is oud, zo kun je niet koken. Dit was belangrijk voor ons. Gobang heeft nieuwe pannen en een bieropener gekocht. Geen ontbijt, vinden wij niet belangrijk, de straat naar de villa slecht toegankelijk voor mensen met een handicap (ik).

Mooi huis, rustig gelegen en prima faciliteiten

Rustig gelegen (300m) van de drukke weg. Grote woonkamer met keuken, twee grote slaapkamers met grote bedden en allebei een aparte badkamer met goede douche. Zwembad heerlijk verkoelend met twee lekker ligbedden. Supermarkt en eetgelegenheden op loopafstand. Lekker echte Italiaan.

Naast het huis wordt gebouwd maar geluidsisolatie verlaat was minimaal (beetje timmeren)

Mooie rustig gelegen villa in Lovina

Veel ruimte, mooi huis en mooi afgelegen. Je zit altijd in de rust.

Airco op 1 van de slaapkamers was niet erg krachtig. In de woonkamer is het erg heet. Weinig mogelijkheden om te koelen in de woonkamer. Zwembad was erg koud vaak.

Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt

Auf den ersten Blick schön.

Die "Villa" ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es kam etwas schmuddelig rüber, der Badvorleger total schmutzig, ein paar tote Tiere, die schon länger dort lagen, in der Dusche etwas seltsam schwarzes in der Ecke, sah aus wie eine alte Ameisenstraße, der große Glastisch im WoZi wurde wohl mit einem dreckigen Lappen gewischt, die Sitzpolster fleckig und noch alte Krümel. Nachdem wir dem "Verwalter" mitgeteilt hatten, nach unzähligen Nachfragen seinerseits, dass wir keine Delfintour machen wollen, hat er mich mit unfreundlichen Whatsapps beschimpft. Wir würden erst nach Ausflügen und Preisen fragen, und dann doch nicht machen. Das war echt unverschämt. Nachdem wir über die Praktiken der Delfintouren gelesen haben, wollten wir das einfach nicht mehr. Der Weg zur Villa am Ende eines Weges, war nach Regen total matschig und kein Licht. Im WoZi keine Klimaanlage nur Ventilatoren. 1/4 Rolle Klopapier und kein Ersatz für 3 Tage. Keine Reinigung, kein Problem, aber nicht mal der Toilettenpapiereimer wurde geleert. In der letzten Nacht hatte meine Freundin eine Maus im Schlafzimmer. Den Pool haben wir gar nicht benutzt. Nur zur Info: Muezzin um 5 Uhr.

Top Unterkunft in Lovina

Nach ein paar Tagen in Hotels sehnten wir uns nach etwas Ruhe. Die Villa Murni ist ideal dafür. Etwas abseits der verkehrsreichen Hauptstrasse, am Rand eines Reisfeldes. Unsere Kantaktperson, Komang, war zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt vor Ort und übergab uns die Villa. Eine sehr freundliche und liebenswerte Frau. Vielen Dank Komang! Sie gab uns auch Tipps für die nähere Umgebung und war bei der Suche nach einem Fahrer behilflich. Uns hat es so gut, gefallen, dass wir kurzfristig um 1 Tag verlängerten. Auch das ging einfach und unkompliziert. Einrichtung und Ausstattung der Villa bieten alles, was man braucht. Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet zum selbst kochen. (In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich euch ein Pepitos Supermarkt, der keine Wünsche offen lässt.) Haus, Garten und Pool sind sehr gepflegt an absolut sauber.
