The position on the beach is where I have been going for 13 years. I have stayed at 2 other adjacent resorts in the past, but as Starlight was so good last year I returned this year. It will be my choice every year in future. The staff are wonderful and the restaurant is superb. There is only one other restaurant nearby that equals it. As I entertain many of my Bali 'families' as well as Australian friends when I'm there I'm there, there is a good range of excellent traditional Indonesian and western food. The gardens are magnificent and the resort is right n the beach.
I didn't like the mosquito netting over the bed, which was a new addition since last year. I have never seen a mosquito on Lovina beach and the netting makes the room dark, but I tied it back for my stay.

Good value lovely staff but very ordinary food No options for non dairy milk or GF toast. Dry fish chicken overcooked
The bike noise early if villa near reception area. Bad drainage in bathrooms Great breakfast and staff super great

On the beach with a nice restaurant, lovely gardens and spacious free standing bungalows.
Pool was warm and dirty, beach was full of boats for dolphin watching.
