Lovely break away

Excellent location, comfortable, clean and it was a refreshing weekend away. Our 2 children loved seeing the horses and chickens. Excited to return 😊

We couldn't get the WiFi to work but it didnt effect our stay.

Great for a few nights in the Peak

Lovely remote and pretty location - great for walking into and around Buxton. Reasonable room sizes.

Not a big issue but the long driveway needs to be taken carefully, especially if your vehicle has low ground clearance.

Lovely cosy few days with the dogs

Location, comfortable, nice beds. Lovely place. Also, we left a bundle of money at the property by accident and the owner found it and returned it all to us. Really appreciate what a good honest person the owner is.

A cosy cottage for a short stay

A small cosy cottage, for a short stay. The beds were comfy, as was the lounge. It had all we needed for a couple of days. The shower was great addition and of good power.

Although it had things like washing up liquid and a cloth, a scourer or dishwashing brush could have helped with washing up. It felt like the kitchen really had the bare minimum, and not everyone staying will want to eat in town (even though it was handily close).

Perfect place to stay.

Spotlessly clean property, just a stones throw away from the beautiful Main Street in Buxton. All whilst getting the feeling of being deep in the countryside. This property was perfect for myself, wife and two children. The property is well equipped with everything you’d ever need for a short or long stay. I spoke with a man(can’t remember his name sorry) when we arrived, he was very pleasant and helpful. He recommended a few local places to eat and some nice sites to go and see on our 4 night stay. My wife’s brother lives and Buxton and the next time we come back down for a visit hope we can stay here again. Thanks

It was all lovely. Had to clean cobwebs off the bedroom ceiling though. Also would have been great to have some egg cups for fresh dippy eggs!

Highly enjoyable.

The location was ideal for easy access into Buxton. The cottage was comfortable and in a lovely location. We needed a dog friendly place to stay and it met all our expectations. We loved the fresh eggs that we picked up from the local chickens. We would definitely come again when in the area.

Easy to find, easy to get in. Good parking. Kitchen stocked well just for a weekend

Although guests are asked to wash up and empty bins, this needs to be checked. The bathroom bin was not emptied. Some of the crockery and cutlery were not washed properly

Pleasant stay in good location.

Good location, nice walking to Solomon’s Temple from cottage possible. Dogs welcome. Shower good. Kitchen equipped well. Nice quiet location yet very close to town. Large Tesco express at end of track.

In summer a garden would be missed albeit there is a table and chairs just outside front door but this isn’t at all private and is on driveway where cars park. This suited us as just out for two long days walking but if you were here with children in warm summer could be tricky. They couldn’t really be outside if you were cooking etc. Hair from last guests was on bathroom floor by bin.

Lovely cottage in a great location, super friendly owners

Perfect location for walking days in the Peaks. Despite being a working farm with plenty of lovely horses and people it was quiet and calming. Cottage is well kept and maintained with everything you could need and was just right for our stay.

Lovely location, very clean and friendly, Bunk beds need small improvement.

Lovely quiet location down a long lane, but still easy to walk into Buxton. Property was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of towels and toilet rolls. Comfy sofas, very warm, and had pretty much everything we needed.

The children complained that the sheets and duvet covers on the bunk beds were uncomfortable - they did have a funny texture to them (especially the duvet covers which had different "tickly" layers). Would be nicer if the duvet covers were just plain, this is a very simple fix! Also, the ladder to the bunk beds was not entirely safe as not attached - I have older children, so not a problem, but smaller kids might hurt themselves. Would be really nice if there was a teapot in the kitchen, please.

Exceptional

Stunning cottages in beautiful surroundings. 8 of us booked both cottages for our Dads 80th birthday and we couldn't of picked a better place . Everything you need for a getaway for family time . Close to Buxton centre , 5 min drive, 20min walk. Thankyou for a fabulous stay we will all treasure.

Superb

Really clean, homey feeling, beautiful koi in the pond. Clear instruction manual in case you get stuck with anything, abrupt response time if contacted. Comfortable mattresses and bed. Very peaceful place and a riding school is just next to it so plenty of horses around. You can see pigs and chicken too, really exciting for the kids. Nice view and pretty walks nearby.

Superb

Very comfortable 2 bed cottage close to town centre, but surrounded by fields with horses. All necessary items provided in the cottage , comfy beds, pleasant decor . Netflix and iPlayer provided . 5 minutes by car into the centre, very convenient for the opera festival. Wonderful outings onto the Peaks from here too

Just be aware that the access road is very bumpy, more of a farm access ( leading to a massive riding centre, cottages at the back). But managed with our Skoda Fabia.

Superb

Cottage was very neat and we had all we needed. Beds were cosy and bathroom was clean. Staff was helpful, helped to give us some guidance when we were stuck. Living room was clean and cosy, we had access to the Internet and we could watch prime, netflix and youtube. We will definitely visit again. It felt like home away from home.

My kids were scared of the bug flying around one night, but it was to be expected considering the location and environment.

Beautiful cottages with easy access to the village

What a wonderful place to stay! Gorgeous 2 bedroom cottages on a rural property minutes from the village. Lots of thought has gone into making these cottages a real home away from home. Hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful and well equipped cottage, quiet in the night, very nice and helpful owners! Town in walking distance, many interesting places nearby, one hour to Manchester by train. Perfect!
