Very cosy, town centre flat

It's in a really excellent location - pretty much dead centre for Alston and an easy walk to pubs/shops. Very cosy studio flat with log burner and lots of space for two people to spread out. Host really went above and beyond with providing extra bits and pieces like breakfast items and snacks - they clearly really care about the details.

We had no complaints that reflect on the host or property, but parking in Alston can be a faff. Have a look on Street View and make sure you're aware of all the parking areas and have some backups in mind.

Gorgeous flat just perfect for Christmas!

Lovely apartment, large comfortable and with the most stunning views from all of its beautiful double aspect windows! A joy to wake up too! Lovely wood burner which got the place super warm and cosy. Huge bed which was lovely!!

Absolutely delightful stay in a super flat ..

Everything was excellent. A super flat with many creature comforts and high quality furnishings. The location of the flat, with its own entrance above a shop, was great with a delightful pub to one side (no noise, very quiet) and a Co-Op store the other.

Perfect apartment in a perfect town!

A warm welcome from Amanda was a lovely start to our break. We really appreciated the breakfast bits, tea, coffee etc, as it meant we didn't need to think about that. The apartment is lovely; well kept, wood burner, comfortable, views to the fells and right next to the shops, cafe, pubs and restaurants. Alston is a lovely town with lots of independent shops (and handy co-op next door) and there is plenty to do nearby. As well as exploring, shopping, eating and drinking in town, we really enjoyed catching the train and walking back via the roman fort, and walking Cross Fell.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

The room was much larger than expected, with good views over the town. Comfortably laid out. Dining table by the window; small kitchen with food for breakfast. Great!

Ideal market town property.

On entering the apartment,I didn't know what to expect. It was spacious with large bed , wardrobe, bedside cabinets and dressing table. ,well laid out. A 2 seater leather couch and chair placed opposite a wood log burner stove. There's a fully fitted kitchen at the other end with a table and 2 chairs. 3 windows that looked into the market square and one facing up the main road. Hardly any noise from people or traffic. Apartment was very clean and to a high standard.

Alston Town View brightened up the New Year for us.

The location is brilliant, right in the centre of the town. The stylish property was clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for our hostess. We would love to stay again if we are in the area.

It was January and a very cold day so it could have been warmer when we arrived but we went to the pub!!!

Luxury on the Pennine Way

We were met by the host and given an useful and thorough introduction to the property. First impression of the accommodation were excellent. It is spacious with good quality furniture and décor. The bed, mattress and bedding are top quality and a joy to be in. The walk in shower has good pressure and gets hot. The kitchen facilities had everything that most people would need. Right in the village square, you can keep a close eye on the comings and goings, despite the central location there was no intrusive noise (and we stayed over New Year). The Church Bells rang in the New Year with several tunes including the Hokey Cokey! :) To us it felt like an indulgent luxury break. Oh, and the locals are fab with plenty of characters to meet and chat with :)

This studio apartment had everything we required for our short break. It was very clean and well appointed in a lovely central location in the town. On street parking was readily available nearby. Local convenience store was nearby and pub / restuarant a short walk away

Perfect apartment in lovely town in wonderful coutryside

Perfect apartment with everything we could need in the very best possible location in Alston. Huge room with lovely kitchen and very comfortable (big) bed. The town is lovely with a supermarket literally on the doorstep and the friendliest pub you could ever hope for right next door. And all around superb walks - some from the apartment but with a host of others within a short drive. This really is the most wonderful hideaway nest from which to explore this amazing part of England.

Light breakfast as advertised. 7am-10pm Co-op next door so anything else you might need available to buy easily. Lovely spacious room, very well furnished. Host very pleasant and welcoming.

Very good

Location was great, right in the middle of the town. We were on a walking holiday so didn't have a car with us so it was perfect to be so central. The apartment was spacious and clean with lovely views over the market square.

The breakfast was a very simple but adequate. Could have had a bit more variety?
