Perfect!

Kieko went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed (which was SO appreciated and I’m still thinking about that fruit), gave us directions and instructions on things we struggled with (even walked us to the bus stop), etc. She is a kind person and genuinely cares about ensuring you a safe and nice stay. The place was clean and so cute.

We loved it! Fabulous, joyful, amazing - both stay and the Host!

We chose the Four Angels for our vacation based on the reviews and pictures, and felt in love deeper with the place on arrival. You as a guest are welcomed before you reach the place and upon arrival all our high expectations are fully filled. Kieko as host gives you an amazing feeling of Home and treats you as a special guest (being always there for you when needed and respecting your privacy highly). Apartment is super clean and nicely shaped, you find everything you might need and even think of, like all necessary things for cooking, your daily needs and even tasty treats for breakfast or your late dinner on arrival. At this place you find coziness, care, beautiful view from bedroom, comfortable bed, lovely garden, shaded parking lot, peace for your soul and activities for your body, as you might walk a lot. We do miss the place since we left it, same is valid for our Dog. Simply phrased - we felt like at Home! Not even mentioning candles waiting for us at the terrace, flowers at the table, wine, water and snacks in the fridge…

Our stubbornness :) Despite of checking on with Kieko prior our trip if the area is good for cycling and getting very kind and polite answer that it’s pretty curvy and good for fit cyclists only, we brought our bicycles though… Well, these two were parked aside all the time.., as indeed the area is meant for sporty people, which we are not. Still, Kieko helped us to accommodate :) our bicycles and took good care of. Same as She did for us and our dog! And we surely thinking to be hosted at the Four Angels again!

I have never met with such a warm, loving, and special attitude. If I could I would rate 100, all the little details that make the place perfect, Kieko is an amazing host, and we would be happy to host you in the future. She took care of us without a break, very organized, and makes sure that the vacation will be amazing, please if you are reading this, don't hesitate, you must take the apartment. We have been to so many places, and there is no doubt that this was the best.

Exceptional

Kieko is simply the best host you can find anywhere in the world: caring, attentive, and always available. The house itself is worth the journey: beautifully decorated, surrounded by nature and conveniently located in a hilly area not far from the seaside attractions. There's always a treat for the guests at The Four Angels; that's what makes it an unmissable stay in Massa.

There's nothing not to like here. Even if there were one, Kieko would fix it right away!

Freaking spectacular, and all my friends now want to come too! Now that they’ve seen the pics!

Our stay at the Four Angels was spectacular! The hosts were kind and go above and beyond to make sure all of your needs are met! The house is super cute, the town below is cuter. Parking is nearby but when on an Italian roadtrip I suggest you pack light or carry luggage (unless you want to stay in a boring hotel)… The kitchen was the best equipped we had while in Italy and we got our laundry done too (washer onsite). The hosts even went far, far out of their way to make sure there were plenty of snacks and drinks available! You can tell the host is passionate and willing to please. What was truly a surprise was the area. I’m from South Florida, I see a lot of Oranges so when we rolled into Massa and saw all the Orange trees loaded with fruit, better of what I’m used to seeing back home these days, it kind of caught me off guard.. I can honestly say, I had the best steak of my life in downtown Massa (and I’ve eaten and cooked a lot of steaks). I also ate one of the best Lasagnas I’ve had at any restaurant in the States out of the fresh section of the Esselunga shopping center (I will stand by that statement). I can say this, because I was still full from the steak, I had to eat the lasagna, we were leaving the next AM and I had to clean the fridge before bed LOL! It's worth a quick trip to Colonnata for some Lardo and see where all the fine marble in the world comes from. And a bonus we just kind of stumbled onto theres a mineral water spring not far downhill on the way to Massa where you can fill your water bottles for free at the side of the road! You'd think a place like Massa, a place with Marble parking curbs, would be a pretentious kinda place… I met the kindest happiest people here. Also a lot of English speakers. So do yourself a favor, take a chance, see what the inside of what an Italian grocery store looks like before you head up the mountain, get on some country backroads, play chicken with a marble truck! Then sleep like a baby at The Four...

If Bobby, their super cute adopted doggie, could’ve slept with us ;) (Just kidding of course) We missed our dog so much! Bed is firm, not overly so.. but all of them, in apartments, pretty much are. At least that’s what we’ve found in our Italian travels from our experience except for a fine hotel. So that’s not really a complaint, just an observation from a spoiled American I guess..

We really enjoyed our stay at The Four Angels! Keiko is a wonderful host, kind and welcoming. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed. It's a very quiet area, we'd love to go back in the summer to explore the hiking trails of the Alpi Apuane. Thanks for everything, Keiko!

Exceptional

The Four Angels is a little jewel situated up in the hills of northern Toskana, only a short drive from the beaches of Marina di Massa. We stayed there for 5 days and enjoyed every minute of it. From a private parking spot (available free of charge) you pass through a charming leafy garden to the house with a small welcoming terrace, which is a perfect spot to have breakfast al fresco or a glass of wine in the evening. The apartment itself stretches over 2 floors and has all the amenities that you need: washing machine, oven, coffee maker, iron, ventilator, Wi-Fi, as well as towels and fresh bed linen. When we arrived, even the fridge was full: little snacks, fresh fruit and cold drinks! The owner, Kieko, is extremely friendly, helpful and tactful, and surprised us many times with small gifts and nice gestures. It is definitely not a standard ordinary place to stay, so if you are looking for something out-of-the box with a personal touch, it will be a perfect choice!

La posizione della casa è come nelle foto ossia dalla camera da letto una bellissima vista mare, una valutazione speciale è per la proprietaria in quanto la sua premura e gentilezza per l'ospite è eccezionale!

Una meravigliosa sorpresa

Mai ricevuto un accoglienza migliore, la gentilezza di Kieko è insuperabile, abbiamo trovato una casetta accessoriata di ogni cosa, non mancava nulla, un cesto di frutta fresca, una bottiglia di vino, latte, acqua, e cibo per la colazione. C'è tutto l'occorrente per prepararsi da mangiare, olio, sale, zucchero, caffè, il resto della spesa dovete farlo voi 😃. La vista dalla camera è meravigliosa, dall'altro lato le alpi apuane sono pure stupende, incredibile stare in montagna a 20 minuti dalla spiaggia. La casetta è deliziosa e accogliente.

Direi che l’appartamento è un amore, non manca niente, un po’ piccola la stanza della cucina con pranzo ma perfettamente dotata di tutti gli accessori, non manca proprio niente, neanche la lavatrice. Le stanze al piano di sopra invece sono veramente carine, un salottino molto accogliente con Smart tv ben funzionante, un bel bagnetto, e una camera matrimoniale con guardaroba a vista, per non parlare della vista che c’è dalla camera matrimoniale! Ambiente ben riscaldato, noi abbiamo fatto l’ultimo dell’anno qui e nn c siamo resi mai conto che era freddo finché non uscivamo fuori ☺️

Poche sono le cose diciamo negative sé le vogliamo chiamare così anche se non lo sono, diciamo potrebbero essere meglio ….. il letto matrimoniale l’ho trovato un po’ scomodo ma è vero che ci ho dormito solo due notti probabilmente non c ho fatto l’abitudine, e l’ unica nota dolente x quanto mi riguarda e’ una ripida scala a chiocciola che collega la cucina con le altre stanze, purtroppo il mio cane aveva il terrore quindi ogni volta che dovevamo salire o scendere andava presa in collo e nel mio caso erano 20 kg di paura😅
