Disappointing.

Nice room, pretty well located, in a nice building.

Contact with anyone who worked there was virtually non-existent and we were left to fend for ourselves. The room wasn't cleaned, and it was very hard to get information as all communications had to be the booking.com messaging facility, despite the owner living next door. I understand she was distracted with other things on these days but I don't think she should have taken the booking, which we'd only made the day before, or the price could have been reduced with an explanation. Not good enough.

Staff was very friendly & welcoming. Room was comfortable, clean & nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect location, close to everything and good carpark close by.

The stairs are quite steep and narrow & "private bathroom" is across the hallway from the room. That wasn't clearly described in the overview. I think it is important to know that it is not a typical Bed & Breakfast (aka B&B). As breakfast is available but it is not included. So you will have to pay extra.

What an experience…! Very central location, the very heart of Antwerp. Cosy interior and room, with spacious bathroom. The breakfast is superb, really 5 star, don’t skip it..! And we were welcomed by the very friendly mother in law of owner Gea. Top top experience 👌👌

Super host Gea, with her you feel like home. Perfect location for city tours, lively at days and still quite at nights. Comfortable bed, working internet, spacious shower, separate toilet. Fridge! Don’t miss the breakfast prepared by Gea, delicious!

Great room with proper beds for 4 people. I read you have to go through the hallway to go to the bathroom but it’s all your own space, the door to the staircase is closed. Superfriendly host and good communication!

The door to the toilet is a curtain which is a bit uncomfortable if you’re staying with 4 adults

Great location, amazing hosts ! Good communication for the arrival, advises for visits/dinner. Very nice room in a quiet area but close to everything.

Private bathroom, but not in the room (you need to cross a small corridor). That was not a big deal but always nicer in the room.

Good find, but be forgiving.

Absolutely charming. Very good location for the Old Town of Antwerp, within an easy walk of restaurants, pubs, shopping. The staff (Gia) is very friendly, and yes, the breakfast is recommended at least once. The room was pleasant and well decorated, and a good size. Despite some details being iffy, I would recommend Sablon.

It's the details where Sablon misses out. The bathroom was not directly connected to the room, we had to cross a hallway. It wasn't a problem, but it felt strange. The duvet and duvet cover weren't the same size (the cover was larger), which meant half of the bed was unexpectedly quite cold at night. There was a lack of non-decorative pillows, and the sheets werent soft. Not a great night sleep.

Room with individual bathroom but not in the room

The room was spacious.

There bathroom at the other side of the corridor/stairs is for individual use, but it is not in the room. I would have like that this was indicated, I wouldn´t have chosen for it: it was cold in the stairs, there was some other people passing by the stairs/other side of a curtain, and it was just not as private as I would have liked to have it.

Only thing is that your private bathroom is accessed through a hallway (1,5 m from your room). Wasn’t that big a deal to us

Great stay!

The place is really nice and it's location is very central. The owners are super friendly and warm. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot ... 500 m away there is a free car park. With some luck you can get a free car park in front of Hotel Sandt. However, it's a public car park and can't be booked in advance. We would surely stay here again. :-)
