Venice Apartment

Location is absolutely amazing, short walk to all primary sites

The host, Lucia was very nice, she instantly replied to all my questions, she was very helpful and always asked if we need anything. The apartment is very close to the San Marco square and the area is full of restaurants and shops. The apartment is very spacious. There is AC in the corridor and 2 fans in the rooms. There was a cot and a baby chair. There is enough dishware so we were able to cook. There is a small tv but surprisingly smart tv, we were able to watch youtube kids. We were able to wash our clothes, there is a detergent there.

First of all it is on the 2nd floor with very steep stairs. I would not recommend it for people with heavy luggage, old people and people with limited mobility. The windows face the street and it is loud, you can hear everything from the street with closed windows and also you can easily hear your neighbors. On top of that every morning starting at 08:00am and until probably evening there is a drilling on the first floor. If you leave around 8am and come back in the evening then it is not a problem but if you like getting up later then could be a problem. They are putting up a new gelateria, the drilling might take some more time but of course it has nothing to do with the apartment, and it is temporary. Also the AC in the corridor is loud, too. The fridge is small and the freezer is full of snow you can't put anything in, it must be defrosted. The apartment doesn't have enough lighting, all the rooms are dark in the evening, I'd put more lamps everywhere, at least in the kitchen. In the bathroom the lamps above the mirror don't work and the little room before the bathroom doesn't have any light. The apartment didn't feel very clean, we moved the little couch in the kitchen and it was super dusty, I'd clean the doors, too. It is hard to see dirt in dark rooms but I could feel it. The soap in the bathroom was a gel/shampoo with ginseng and the smell was too sharp, I'd recommend to put a regular liquid soap with no scent or something classic and basic.

The location was great and in proximity to lots of restaurants and shopping

We were there during a heat wave and the A/C wasn’t quite enough. Thankfully there was A/C though!
